Pinizzotto has cleared waivers, TSN's Darren Dreger reports. As a 30-year-old with just 36 career NHL appearances, Pinizzotto offers little in the way of upside. He scored four points (two goals) in 18 games with the Oilers this season.

Pinizzotto was waived by the Oilers on Monday, TSN.ca reports. After Matt Fraser was made available off waivers by the Bruins, the Oilers decided to scoop him up, determining he'd be an upgrade over Pinizzotto in the team's bottom six. Pinizzotto provided four points in 18 games during his time with Edmonton, but the long-time AHLer was never viewed as a permanent solution on the fourth line. He's expected to clear waivers and report to AHL Oklahoma City.

Pinizzotto made his season debut with the Oilers count Wednesday, recording a goal, an assist and a fight in a 5-4 loss to the Canucks. Pinizzotto was efficient in completing the Gordie Howe hat trick, skating to a team-low 7:42 of ice time. Despite the team's four goals, he was the only Oiler to record multiple points in this one, as well.

Pinizzotto was recalled from AHL Oklahoma City on Monday. Pinizzotto had been called up by the Oilers in the middle of October because Jordan Eberle was a game-time decision but ultimately Eberle did play so technically, Pinizzotto has not made an appearance for the Oilers this season. In the AHL, he has not scored a goal but added six assists in nine games played.

Pinizzotto was assigned to AHL Oklahoma City on Friday. Pinizzotto was recalled by the Oilers on Wednesday strictly for insurance on the wing, as Jordan Eberle had been ruled a game-time decision for that night's contest against the Kings. Eberle was ultimately able to play and came out of the game without any apparent issues, making it unnecessary for the Oilers to keep Pinizzotto around any longer.

Pinizzotto was recalled from AHL Oklahoma City on Wednesday by the Oilers. The 30-year-old winger spent the majority of last season in the AHL but he did play six games with Edmonton accumulating just two assists and 15 penalty minutes. Pinizzotto is likely to fill a left-wing slot while Jordan Eberle is out of action but since the injury to Eberle is not long term, Pinizzotto will likely return to the AHL soon.

Steve Pinizzotto has signed a one-year contract with Edmonton. He appeared in six games with the Oilers in 2013-14. He mostly spent the campaign in the AHL, where he split 51 matches between San Antonio and Oklahoma City.

The Edmonton Oilers have acquired Steve Pinizzotto from the Florida Panthers in exchange for Ryan Martindale. Pinizzotto has seven points and 67 penalty minutes in 21 games with the AHL San Antonio Rampage in 2013-14. At the age of 29, he isn't expected to ever earn a regular spot on an NHL team, but he'll serve Edmonton's AHL affiliate, the Oklahoma City Barons.

Steve Pinizzotto has been loaned to AHL San Antonio. He hasn't played this season because of a hip injury he suffered back in September. Pinizzotto won't have any fantasy value if he eventually finds his way back to the Panthers.
