Ott will be in Friday's lineup against the Predators, Ansar Khan of MLive.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ott will replace young spark plug Andreas Athanasiou based on the Red Wings needing to be tough against the pesky team from Smashville. Ott's fantasy utility is limited to leagues that count the rought stuff, such as hits and penalty minutes.

Ott won't start on Saturday, Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ott will be a healthy scratch, allowing Andreas Athanasiou to get some ice time after he was a healthy scratch on Thursday. Ott's ice time moving forward will likely be influenced by Athanasiou's performance Saturday.

Ott contributed a shorthanded goal in Wednesday's exhibition win over the Penguins.
EDGE Analysis
Ott has two goals this preseason, but don't go thinking that'll be the norm once the regular season rolls around. The 34-year-old will be a fourth-line pest with his primary contributions taking place without the puck.

Ott filled the box score Wednesday, notching a goal, two assists, a plus-3 rating and two PIM during a 5-1 preseason win over Boston.
EDGE Analysis
If this was the regular season, Ott would have already surpassed his total from last year with the Blues (two points in 21 contests). The veteran had a solid run mid-career, but acts as insurance in the back line for Detroit at this point. Still, it was nice to see the defenseman compile a nice stat line, but it's not to be expected during the regular season.

Ott signed a one-year, $800,000 contract with the Red Wings on Friday, Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Wings loaded up on defensemen during last week's draft, but the focus in free agency has been strengthening the team's cast of forwards -- before the evening on the first day of free agency, general manager Ken Holland has already signed Ott, Thomas Vanek, Frans Nielsen, and re-signed Darren Helm. Ott has 13 years in the league, but he's well past his prime.

Ott was a healthy scratch for Thursday night's Game 3 against the Sharks.
EDGE Analysis
This was the first time in the series that Ott's been scratched. Both he and Scottie Upshall (upper body) were removed from the active lineup, replaced by Magnus Paajarvi and Dmitri Jaskin. Unlike tweaks head coach Ken Hitchcock made earlier in the playoffs, these moves had very little impact for the Blues, who were shut out for a second straight game and have gone scoreless in their last seven-and-a-half periods.

Ott (hamstring) returned to the Blues lineup Sunday for the first time since he was injured Dec. 5. He had 6:29 of ice time in St. Louis' 3-2 win in Game 3 of their opening-round playoff series against Chicago.
EDGE Analysis
Ott did what Ott does best: agitate. He had four hits and was involved in several post-whistle scrums. He's not expected to make an impact offensively, particularly skating on the fourth line, but can provide value if you're looking for someone to throw his body into others.

Ott (hamstring) will return to the lineup for Sunday's Game 2 against the Blackhawks, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ott hasn't seen game action since Dec. 5, but will finally return to the lineup in the place of Ryan Reaves. Even so, his presence shouldn't impact much from a fantasy perspective, as the 33-year-old forward has just two points (both assists) over 21 games this season. However, he should provide a physical presence, collecting 184 hits last season.

Ott (hamstring) is on the ice for pregame warmups, but didn't take part in line rushes, indicating he won't be in the lineup for Friday's Game 2 against the Blackhawks, Tom Timmermann of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ott hasn't played since he sustained a hamstring injury on Dec. 5 against the Maple Leafs, but appears to be on the verge of returning to game action given his presence on the ice during pregame warmups Friday evening. His impending return to the Blues' lineup won't have any affect on fantasy owners, as the 33-year-old forward has only notched two assists while averaging 10:55 of ice time over 21 games this season. The Blues should provide an update on Ott's Status ahead of Sunday's Game 3 against Chicago.

Ott (hamstring) practiced Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Coach Ken Hitchcock noted that Ott's status will be re-evaluated Tuesday, but it appears as though the veteran forward has at least some chance suit up again as soon as Wednesday's playoff opener against Chicago. Ott -- who last suited up on Dec. 5 -- finished up the season with just two helpers and 34 PIM in 21 games for the Blues.
