Robertsson (upper body) was placed on the injured non-roster list Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Robertsson has dealt with an upper-body injury since late September and was initially considered day-to-day, but he'll spend some time on the shelf to begin the regular season. Once he's healthy, it wouldn't be surprising to see him head to AHL Springfield.

Robertsson signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Blues on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Robertsson had four points in 27 Swedish League games with Skelleftea as well as nine points in 12 outings with Brynas of HockeyAllsvenskan, which is Sweden's second-highest professional league, in 2023-24. The Blues selected him with the 71st overall pick in the 2021 NHL Draft. The 21-year-old is likely to begin his North American career in the AHL.

Robertsson was drafted 71st overall by the Blues at the 2021 NHL Draft on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Robertsson's long-term upside would appear to be limited, but there's clear value in a guy who can play up and down a lineup, all while contributing in many different ways. The kid comes with a pedigree -- Robertsson's father, Bert, played 123 NHL games, mostly with Vancouver, in the mid-to-late 90s. He has also coached in Sweden for many years, so it's little surprise son Simon is lauded for his smarts and work ethic. It would be surprising if Robertsson didn't develop into a productive NHL player in some capacity. This wasn't a sexy pick for St.Louis, but Robertsson is the type of player all winning clubs need.
