Good afternoon, Made a few minor updates to the Draft Guide this week adding the Retired & Elsewhere page along with Sidney Crosby revised projections for the upcoming year due to his surgery which will keep out for at least the next 6 weeks. Also added Zdeno Chara signing with the NY Islanders and Kailer Yamamoto's signing to a 1-year contract with the Oil. I also made a few adjustment to the Defensemen Tiers. SO for those who purchased the Guide and want to see the updates just go to your account file and upload the revised edition. Thank you and have a wonderful day!
SUNDAY MORNING COFFEE: HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL! primepucks.com Sun 12/24/17 12:36 PM

Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy Boxing Day!
Lot of games played Saturday with the Flames the only team getting the night off.
Some early Christmas presents for some fantasy owners with the Lightning, Panthers, Golden Knights, Sharks and Ducks posting shutouts. A warm weather team shutout bonanza!
I wonder if the Golden Knights will go the way of the Mighty Ducks and drop off the Adjective at some point in the future. Las Vegas Knights…Kinds like it!
My thoughts on the Islanders Mathew Barzal. He is having the type of inaugural NHL season much like Gustav Nyquist had. I would ride this out until he starts to slow down and then trade him off for steadier player(s) and picks because he won’t be this good going forward due to his size. That’s my take.
The NJ Devils are proving me wrong as they remain atop the Metropolitan Division at the Christmas break.
The Anaheim Ducks should be one of the better teams for the second half as all their players are coming back from being injured.
Beware the Boston Bruins as I mentioned a few weeks back!
Patrik Laine will have a super 2018! One more week until 2018!
As bad as the Buffalo Sabres have been adjusting to Phil Housley behind the bench, I think it’s safe to say that they won’t be as bad and may just be a team that can have the best record going forward. Maybe I’m being a little too enthusiastic.
Tampa Bay is just having a season!
Ottawa doesn’t seem to be in sync this year.
I would’ve thought Arizona would have been at least close to being in contention.
And what is going on with Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins?
Auston Matthews is back and that means get all your Maple Leafs back in your fantasy lineup.
It appears that Edmonton is starting to right the ship.
If the NY Ranges can just make the playoffs, they will have a very good chance at a long run for the Cup.
Have a great week and may all your fantasies come true!
SUNDAY MORNING COFFEE: TOUGH WAKING UP! primepucks.com Sun 11/12/17 6:34 PM
SMC 11/12/2017
I think I said last week or the week before that wait until the 15-game mark to see where teams are positioned in the standings. Well, we see teams like the NY Rangers and Montreal Canadiens are in more familiar territory while teams like the Las Vegas Golden Knights and New Jersey Devils are still holding onto to their early season good start.
Pavel Buchnevich is playing with a lot of confidence and hitting the twine quite regularly of late.
Rick Nash has been playing solid all season long and should look to put together a nice scoring streak as he should be getting some puck luck.
Edmonton seems to be treading water this year but perhaps the recall of Jesse Puljujarvi will provide a spark.
Sidney Crosby has just 2 points in past 8 games. Shame on you Sid!
That Ranger-Blue Jacket game early in the week had a box score where just about every player posted had at least 6-7 letters in their last names if not longer.
The 2-game Sweden swing this week worked out well for Ottawa as they won both games against Colorado.
Ottawa’s Mark Stone and Mike Hoffman should both get at least 30 goals apiece this year.
With Matthews out of the lineup a few games sure seems to have awoken Mitch Marner’s game.
I’m expecting the Boston Bruins to start putting things together now that the main guys are all back in the lineup together. First it was Krug and Bergeron, then Marchand, but all in the lineup now.
Torey Krug had 9 SOG in Saturday’s game.
When will Buffalo start to win consistently?
Everyone on Detroit had a SOG except for Martin Frk and that’s a guy you want to shoot the puck?
I think one day the Florida Panthers will wake up and be a terror in this league.
I think the Flyers have been shut out the most so far this season. As much as they can score, that’s 4 times they have been shutout following Minny’s 1-0 shutout on Saturday.
Keep your eye on Alex DeBrincat as he can be a force fairly soon. Those in Dynasty leagues already know.
The NY Islanders are a very schizophrenic team it seems. Play a close, tight-knit game against Edmonton, then get blown out by Dallas, then smother a very good St. Louis team.
Nashville finally beat Pittsburgh in an OT shootout. Just a little too late.
Sorry for the late morning coffee, was having pc issues today.
Have a great week and hope all your fantasies come true!

ADD'EM: LAST CHANCE SALOON! primepucks.com Sat 3/25/17 12:03 PM
ADD’EM 3/25/2017 LAST CHANCE SALOON!
Mathieu Perreault (27.6%), Conor Sheary (71.1%), Tomas Tatar (51.7%), Sean Couturier (10.3%), Brayden Point (17.7%), Sebastien Aho (36.8%), Jakob Silfverberg (54.9%), Gustav Nyquist (31.7%), Hampus Lindholm (36.0%), Ryan Ellis (63.4%), Nikita Zaitsev (24.9%)
Here we are closing in on the end of another fantasy season and hopefully most of you are still in the hunt for some reward after committing all the time and effort these past 6 months. As April approaches we know all too well that our time is running out to make a difference. This will be PrimePucks™ last chance effort to help you in your mission. So here we go…..
A few names we have mentioned over the past few weeks still exist on ESPN’s fantasy leagues as being somewhat still available in at least 25% or more leagues, so here’s your last chance. Sheary is playing alongside Sidney Crosby who has raised the level of his own game and Sheary has taken advantage of that opportunity. He has had a tremendous season already and with Jake Guentzel going down to injury, Sheary is the beneficiary even more so now. Sheary has 3 games on the schedule, two of which are against tough opponents in the NY Rangers and Chicago Blackhawks.
Perreault has had a shaky first half of the season but is turning it around now as he has shaken off the cobwebs from his injury. Playing New Jersey, Anaheim and Ottawa so perhaps look elsewhere…..Couturier has also been getting his name on the score sheet pretty consistently of late and has to be taken into consideration with 4 games on the slate this week. With 4 points in last 3 and playing against Ottawa, both New York teams and New Jersey makes him look like a good play for the upcoming week.
Sebastien Aho has been a sensation in his inaugural NHL season and benefits from a hot team of late and getting good opportunities. His hockey know-how makes him a good choice for this week with 5 games, 4 of which are at home. Detroit twice, Columbus, Dallas and Pittsburgh make for a difficult week but the Canes have been playing better of late and he is giving you 5 games.
Nyquist and Tatar have been contributing nicely for the Wings as they finish out their last season at the Joe Louis Arena. 4 games against Carolina twice, Tampa Bay and Toronto could get you some nice points for the week as the Red Wings have shown that they are not quitting on the season even though their long playoff streak will be broken.
Point and Silfverberg round ...
