Weber racked up three assists in Tusday's 5-2 win over the Coyotes.
EDGE Analysis
Weber had been held scoreless in his last six games entering Tuesday, but broke out in a big way. His three assists now give him 13 points through 24 games on the season.

Weber was held pointless for the sixth straight game Friday against the Sabres. With just 10 points in 23 games, he's now on pace for a career-worst 35-point season.
EDGE Analysis
To his credit, Weber does have six goals so far this season, which is almost halfway to last year's total of 15, and roughly on pace for the 23 he scored the season before that. So we know his much-feared slapshot is still finding twine with regularity. The real problem, however, is that his assist totals are down, and that's more a reflection of his teammates failing to convert his passes into goals. As a team, the Preds are one of the most offensively aggressive teams in the league, currently seventh in the league in shots per game (30.7), but they are converting on only 8.1% of those shots, which ranks them 19th in the league in that category. Bottom line, we believe as long as Weber and his mates continue to fire the puck with abandon, the goals should follow, and Weber's point production should get back on track. Keep him rolling like you normally would.

Weber blasted a one-timer past Frederik Andersen for a power-play goal in Tuesday's 3-2 win against the Ducks.
EDGE Analysis
It was Weber's signature smash on the man advantage that the goalie usually has no chance of saving. With his sixth goal of the season, Weber is tied with Justin Faulk for the league lead. The PP score was his third in four games and fifth on the season.

Weber recorded a goal on the man advantage in Tuesday's 7-5 win over the Senators.
EDGE Analysis
All seven goals from the Preds came from a different skater, and Weber wasn't about to be left out of that mix. The big blueliner set a game-high six shots on net and also blocked the puck four times. He's been especially productive as of late, having registered four points in his past five games.

Weber scored his second goal in as many games, potting a power-play marker in the second period of Sunday's 4-2 loss to Anaheim.
EDGE Analysis
After needing six games to score his first goal of the season, Weber is finally showing signs of heating up. He continues to be one of the key cogs in the Predators' offensive system - start him with confidence.

Weber collected a goal and an assist in Tuesday's 5-4 shootout win over the Lightning.
EDGE Analysis
Weber notched his first goal of the season Tuesday, and has picked up all four of his points in his last four games. The blueliner still has a booming shot from the point, and looks to be one of the league's top fantasy defensemen again by the end of the season.

Weber assisted on Roman Josi's power-play goal for his first point of the season in Tuesday's win against New Jersey.
EDGE Analysis
The Predators captain looked strong all game, putting in a solid all-around performance. Weber wasn't able to get his booming slap shot off very often, but chipped in with an assist to open the scoring for Nashville. He skated a team-high 24:03 and finished with a plus-1 rating. Weber scored 15 goals last season and is the backbone of the Predators' blue line.

Weber will make his preseason debut in Wednesday night's preseason game against Tampa Bay, Adam Vingan of The Tennessean reports.
EDGE Analysis
Weber is the elder statesman of the Preds' defense, having been with the team since 2006-07. A physical monster at 6-foot-4, 223 pounds, Weber only needs eight points to reach 400 in his career, a remarkable pace for a rearguard. With the Preds expected to roster young blueliners such as Seth Jones and Ryan Ellis, Weber could play fewer minutes but not experience enough of a reduction to change his status as one of the games elite fantasy defenseman.

Coach Peter Laviolette says he will try to reduce Weber's on-ice minutes this season, Adam Vingan of The Tennessean reports.
EDGE Analysis
Over the past few seasons, the Preds have done a good job of surrounding the 30-year-old Weber with younger guys like Seth Jones, Mattias Ekholm and Ryan Ellis - players who, according to Laviolette, "don't get the minutes or the situational play that they should." Weber skated an average of 26:22 per game last season - the second highest ice time of his career - so look for that number to decline somewhat this season as the Preds' coaching staff look to distribute the team's blue line minutes a little more evenly. We still consider Weber an elite blue line option for fantasy purposes, but if he's not playing as many minutes as he normally does, he could be under pressure to post the same kind of 45-50 point production we are used to seeing from him.

Predators GM David Poile said Weber is progressing well in his recovery from a dislocated kneecap.
Poile suggested that Weber is about "90 percent" healthy, putting the defenseman on track to be back at full strength by the start of training camp. The knee injury limited Weber's prevented him from suiting up during much of the Preds' opening-round playoff series against the eventual Stanley Cup-champion Blackhawks, putting a damper on another strong season for the blueliner. He finished the campaign with 15 goals, 45 points, and a plus-15 rating over 78 games.
