Darling shut out the Coyotes on Tuesday, stopping 22 shots en route to a 4-0 win.
EDGE Analysis
Darling is the placeholder No. 1 while Corey Crawford (appendix) recovers and this is exactly the type of performance owners had hoped for by picking up the netminder off waivers. The 27-year-old is on an elite team, but he's been decent at best in limited action this season. In 10 appearances, the 2007 sixth-round pick sits at a 2.39 GAA and .919 save percentage, solid but unspectacular numbers. If you have Crawford, Darling is good enough to roll out there in the meantime, but don't expect shutouts to come often -- the Coyotes came into Tuesday's matchup averaging just 2.29 goals per game.

Darling will man the crease in Tuesday's home game against Arizona, Tracey Myers of CSN Chicago reports.
EDGE Analysis
Darling was sharp in his last start Sunday against Winnipeg, stopping 30 of the 32 shots he faced, but didn't get enough help from his teammates to pick up a win, as Chicago ultimately fell to the Jets by a score of 2-1. The American netminder will look to get back on track in a much-more favorable matchup with a Coyotes team that's only averaging 2.29 goals per game this season, 26th in the NHL.

Darling allowed two goals and made 30 saves in a 2-1 loss to the Jets on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
The Jets scored their first goal on the power play, and a Blackhawks costly turnover in the neutral zone led to the second goal, the eventual game-winner. Darling falls to 4-2-1 with a 2.71 GAA and .912 save percentage as the Chicago backup netminder.

Darling will start in the crease Sunday against the Jets, Ted Wyman of the Winnipeg Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Darling will start his second straight contest Sunday with Corey Crawford (appendix) sidelined for at least the next couple weeks. He surrendered three goals in a losing effort against the Flyers on Saturday, but will look for a better outing against a Jets club that will be without Mark Scheifele (lower body) on Sunday.

Darling made 27 saves in Saturday's 3-1 loss to the Flyers.
EDGE Analysis
Darling will get the majority of starts for the next two-to-three weeks after Corey Crawford underwent an appendectomy Saturday. Darling has performed well in limited action in the past and there's no reason to expect anything else right now.

With Corey Crawford unavailable due to an illness, Darling will get the start in goal in Saturday's road game against the Flyers.
EDGE Analysis
Darling has been decent in limited action this season, posting a 4-0-0 record with a 2.76 GAA and .909 save percentage over seven appearances. The American goaltender will look to pick up his fifth win of the season in a tough road matchup with a Philadelphia team averaging 3.08 goals per game this season, third in the NHL.

Darling is dealing with an illness, but is expected to serve as the backup Tuesday against the Panthers, Tracey Myers of CSN Chicago reports.
EDGE Analysis
Considering the Hawks have not made any sort of emergency call-up, they seem confident Darling will be healthy enough to sit on the bench Tuesday. When he has been in the crease, the 27-year-old has been stellar this year. In seven appearances, the netminder is undefeated in regulation with a 4-0-1 record and a .909 save percentage. If Darling is still feeling the effects at puck drop, the team could shy away from pulling starter Corey Crawford if the game goes sideways early.

Darling stopped 27 of 29 shots in Saturday's overtime loss to the Kings.
EDGE Analysis
Darling was great in the crease, but his team didn't have the answer for Jeff Carter and the Kings, who rode his game-winning goal to their fifth win of the season. While the 27-year-old picked up his first loss of the season, he still possesses a decent .909 save percentage and has been very reliable when called upon. Darling hasn't necessarily been spectacular in seven appearances this season, but he makes for a solid fantasy option whenever Corey Crawford is given the night off.

Darling will man the crease in Saturday's road game against the Kings, Tracey Myers of CSN Chicago reports.
EDGE Analysis
Darling wasn't great in his last start last Saturday against Vancouver, surrendering three goals on 27 shots, but did enough to pick up his fourth win of the season, as the Blackhawks defeated the Canucks 4-3 in overtime. The American goaltender will need to be better to pick up his fifth win of the season on the road against the Kings, as LA is averaging an impressive 3.10 goals per game at home this season, ninth in the NHL.

Darling stopped 24 of 27 shots in Saturday's overtime win over Vancouver.
EDGE Analysis
A solid outing or Darling, who stood tall in the third period and extra frame as Chicago rallied from a 3-0 deficit to defeat the Canucks in overtime. The 27-year-old is now 4-0-0 on the season with a .904 save percentage. His rate stats might not be spectacular, but Darling continues to show he's one of the best backups around and can be counted on whenever Corey Crawford is in need of a night off.
