Darling will start between the pipes in Wednesday's home game against the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
Darling has been pretty inconsistent of late. The American netminder has been razor-sharp in four of his last six outings, allowing a single goal in each of those starts, but he's been shelled in his other two appearances, giving up a combined nine goals in losses to the Blackhawks and Islanders. He'll hope to bring his A game Wednesday in a home matchup with a Rangers squad that's averaging 2.86 goals per game on the road this season, 15th in the NHL.

Darling made 24 saves in a 3-1 win over the Sabres on Saturday night.
EDGE Analysis
The game was closet than the score indicates -- it was knotted at ones until the 15:15 mark of the third. Darling has vacillated between brilliant and bad in his last six starts -- he allowed just one goal in four of those starts, but he allowed nine goals in the other two. Ugh. The good outweighs the ugly in the last while, but a little consistency would make a good goalie great.

Darling will start in goal Saturday night against host Buffalo, Michael Smith of the Hurricanes' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Sabres have lost four straight games and their goal differential of minus-23 is the worst among Eastern Conference teams. Darling let the puck travel past him five times on 35 shots in Thursday's 6-4 loss to the Islanders, but this matchup seems ideal in terms of helping him get back on track.

Darling allowed five goals on 35 shots during Thursday's 6-4 loss to the Islanders.
EDGE Analysis
The popular preseason breakout candidate appeared to be rounding into form with a 3-0-3 record, .924 save percentage and 2.10 GAA through his previous six starts, so this was a discouraging outing. Still, Darling is locked in as the No. 1 goalie and projects to continue receiving the bulk of action. It's not out of the question to consider tossing out buy-low offers for his services following Thursday's poor showing.

Darling will get the starting nod for Thursday's matchup with the Islanders, Chip Alexander of The Raleigh News & Observer reports.
EDGE Analysis
With the exception of the poor four-goal performance he put up against his former club, Darling has been stellar of late, as he has given up just one goal in three of his previous four outings. With the Virginia native excelling, Cam Ward continues to warm the bench more often than not.

Darling stopped 25 of 26 shots during Monday's 5-1 win over Dallas.
EDGE Analysis
Dallas owns an admirable offense, so it was encouraging to see Darling rise to the occasion and take care of business on home ice. He's now allowed a single goal in three of his past four outings and sports a respectable 5-3-4 record, .910 save percentage and 2.37 GAA for the campaign. It's not out of the question to suggest the Hurricanes have underachieved to start the season, and with Darling clearly rounding into form, there's a lot to like about his fantasy potential moving forward.

Darling will be the starting netminder for Monday's contest with Dallas, Chip Alexander of The Raleigh News & Observer reports.
EDGE Analysis
This season marks a huge milestone for Darling, as it is his first as an NHL franchise's No. 1 goalie. So far Darling has been good, but nowhere near great, posting a 2.49 GAA and .906 save percentage to go along with a 4-3-4 record. Surprisingly, the former University of Maine Black Bear has performed worse at home in Raleigh this season, owning a 2-1-3 record, 2.73 GAA, and .898 save percentage. Monday, a Dallas Stars team that has scored five goals in two of their past three games rolls in to town to take on Darling and the Canes.

Darling made 26 saves in a 4-3 overtime loss to the Blackhawks.
EDGE Analysis
Darling almost pulled out the win over his former squad, but just couldn't hold the 3-1 lead his teammates gave him by the middle of the second period. On the surface, Darling's 4-4-3 record is unimpressive, but the Canes are finally starting to gel. There are good things coming from Darling and this team very soon.

Darling will square off versus his former team Chicago on Saturday, Tracey Myers of NBC Sports Chicago reports.
EDGE Analysis
After being traded away during the offseason, Darling will make his first appearance in goal against the Hawks. The netminder has been stellar in his previous two outings -- giving up just one goal in each contest -- despite registering only one victory. Chicago has been peppering opposing goalies with shots (33.8 per game) and should continue to do so Saturday.

Tue 11/7/17 10:48 PM

Darling saved 30 of 31 shots during Tuesday's 3-1 win over Florida.
EDGE Analysis
Don't look now, but Darling has stopped 53 of 55 shots in his past two games to work his save percentage up to .910, and his GAA down to 2.35. The Hurricanes currently pace the NHL in Corsi For percentage (56.6) and are fifth in the league in high-danger scoring chances per 60 minutes (12.7) at five-on-five, so this is a sneaky good fantasy setup. Additionally, this could prove to be an opportune buy-low time for Darling.
