Ryan O'Reilly is a big believer in the art of yoga.
"It's by far the toughest training, and best training, I do," he said. "I could go on and on about what it's done for me, but if you look at injury-wise, preventing injuries, it's a huge thing." He tries to practice yoga at least twice a week. A healthy and productive player makes fantasy owners happy and O'Reilly has four goals and four assists in 13 games this season.

Ryan O'Reilly had a goal and an assist on Saturday.
That gives O'Reilly three goals and six points in eight games this season. He's solidified his position as a top-six forward and we believe he's capable of maintaining his current pace.

Ryan O'Reilly was credited with the game-winning goal in Colorado's 2-0 win against Boston.
He scored the opening goal of the contest late in the first period on an Avalanche power play. O'Reilly has two markers and one assist in four games this campaign. He should be in store for a strong season while riding shotgun with Matt Duchene, who had two points in Thursday's victory.

Ryan O'Reilly has adjusted well to his move to the wing, but he does missing taking faceoffs.
"I love taking faceoffs, and that's one of the things I miss most about it," O'Reilly said. "Just starting a shift with that, it's a pressure situation and it's getting the puck back to the boys. But [Matt Duchene] been's great on faceoffs, and we usually have the puck." If the Avalanche move Paul Statsny at some point this year then there's a chance that he could return to the middle, but for now he has done a good job of playing on the wing alongside Duchene and Steve Downie. O'Reilly has two points in two games this season.

Ryan O'Reilly notched a goal and an assist in Wednesday's opener versus Anaheim.
He also posted six shots and a plus-1 rating in 19:46 of ice time. O'Reilly earned 3:14 of playing time on the power play and he earned his assist there. It looks like the adjustment from center to the wing won't be problem for him this season.

Coach Patrick Roy is pleased so far with the play of Ryan O'Reilly on the left wing.
O'Reilly was moved to the wing from center when the Avalanche selected Nathan MacKinnon with the first overall pick. O'Reilly will play on the top line with Matt Duchene and P.A. Parenteau and that line should be dynamite for the Avs. O'Reilly had 20 points in 29 games last season as he held out into the season before the Avs matched the Flames offer sheet. Expect a 20 goal, 60 point effort from O'Reilly in 2013-14. He will have more value once he gets left wing eligibility from your fantasy pool as there are plenty of good centers but not a lot of quality left wingers.

Ryan O'Reilly, star member of the Colorado Avalanche, has no problems with the plans of new coach Patrick Roy to move him from center to right wing.
"I'm excited about it," O'Reilly says. "I'm looking at it as a good new challenge for me. I mean, I'll be playing with two great players (Matt Duchene at center and P.A. Parenteau at right wing). I've played on the wing before, with Canada in the World Championships (skating with Jeff Skinner and Jordan Staal) so I'm not totally unfamiliar with it." O'Reilly went through a contract impasse with the Avs last year and missed a bunch of the season so his mindset is different this off-season now that he has a long-term contract in place. "Well, it's much more comfortable," he said. "This time, I know I'll be at training camp, training at altitude early, with my teammates. I know I can just concentrate on hockey and nothing else. What happened happened, but I'm just glad it's behind me. I just want to win with the Avalanche. Last year, on top of things, there was the lockout and that made everything tougher for everybody. It's nice not to have to worry. .&

Ryan O'Reilly, star member of the Colorado Avlanche, has no problems with the plans of new coach Patrick Roy to move him from center to left wing.
"I'm excited about it," O'Reilly said. "I'm looking at it as a good new challenge for me. I mean, I'll be playing with two great players (Matt Duchene at center and P.A. Parenteau on right wing). I've played on the wing before, with Canada in the World Championships (skating with Jeff Skinner and Jordan Staal) so I'm not totally unfamiliar with it." O'Reilly went through a contract impasse with the Avs last year and missed the start of the season. Look for O'Reilly to have a 55-60 point season if he remains healthy and on the top line. Draft him in the middle rounds of your pool.
