Ryan O'Reilly records an assist in Colorado's 3-2 shootout win. That gives O'Reilly nine goals and 17 points in 25 games this season. He's in the final campaign of his two-year/$10 million contract. He held out as a restricted free agent last season and ended up signing with Calgary after missing the start of the shortened campaign. It was only the Avalanche's willingness to exercise their right to match O'Reilly's contract that kept him with them. With that in mind, it will be interesting to see what O'Reilly's demands are as a restricted free agent this summer now that he's more firmly established his offensive capabilities.

Ryan O'Reilly scored a goal and added an assist for the Avalanche in a 7-3 loss to St. Louis Thursday night. The Avalanche were soundly beaten in this contest, but O'Reilly managed to pad his stats during garbage time, much to the delight of his fantasy owners. Nathan MacKinnon and Matt Duchene also tickled the twine for Colorado in the losing effort.

Ryan O'Reilly is a big believer in the art of yoga. "It's by far the toughest training, and best training, I do," he said. "I could go on and on about what it's done for me, but if you look at injury-wise, preventing injuries, it's a huge thing." He tries to practice yoga at least twice a week. A healthy and productive player makes fantasy owners happy and O'Reilly has four goals and four assists in 13 games this season.

Ryan O'Reilly was credited with the game-winning goal in Colorado's 2-0 win against Boston. He scored the opening goal of the contest late in the first period on an Avalanche power play. O'Reilly has two markers and one assist in four games this campaign. He should be in store for a strong season while riding shotgun with Matt Duchene, who had two points in Thursday's victory.

Ryan O'Reilly has adjusted well to his move to the wing, but he does missing taking faceoffs. "I love taking faceoffs, and that's one of the things I miss most about it," O'Reilly said. "Just starting a shift with that, it's a pressure situation and it's getting the puck back to the boys. But [Matt Duchene] been's great on faceoffs, and we usually have the puck." If the Avalanche move Paul Statsny at some point this year then there's a chance that he could return to the middle, but for now he has done a good job of playing on the wing alongside Duchene and Steve Downie. O'Reilly has two points in two games this season.

Ryan O'Reilly notched a goal and an assist in Wednesday's opener versus Anaheim. He also posted six shots and a plus-1 rating in 19:46 of ice time. O'Reilly earned 3:14 of playing time on the power play and he earned his assist there. It looks like the adjustment from center to the wing won't be problem for him this season.
