Ryan O'Reilly has adjusted well to his move to the wing, but he does missing taking faceoffs. "I love taking faceoffs, and that's one of the things I miss most about it," O'Reilly said. "Just starting a shift with that, it's a pressure situation and it's getting the puck back to the boys. But [Matt Duchene] been's great on faceoffs, and we usually have the puck." If the Avalanche move Paul Statsny at some point this year then there's a chance that he could return to the middle, but for now he has done a good job of playing on the wing alongside Duchene and Steve Downie. O'Reilly has two points in two games this season.

O'Reilly earned 3:14 of playing time on the power play and he earned his assist there. It looks like the adjustment from center to the wing won't be problem for him this season.
