Garbutt (upper body) is not expected to play in Tuesday's game against the Hurricanes, Mark Stepneski of the Stars' website reports.
It's not clear what type of injury Garbutt is dealing with, but he was forced from the ice while participating in Tuesday's morning skate, and will likely miss at least one game with the setback. Consider Garbutt questionable for Dallas' next game Thursday against the Coyotes.

Garbutt scored the game-winning goal in Thursday's 2-0 win over the Kings.
Somewhat surprisingly, Garbutt has netted game-winners in back-to-back games, firing off 11 shots during that time. He's a solid all-around forward for the Stars based on his ability to supply hits, penalty minutes and some occasional offense, but he'll offer most of his fantasy value primarily in specialty formats.

Garbutt contributed a goal and an assist in Tuesday's 6-3 win over the Canucks.
Garbutt scored one of the Stars' five goals in the game's first 22 minutes, with the winger claiming his third assist of the season on goal No. 5. The 29-year-old has been seeing time on the Stars' second line, and while his offensive contributions aren't enormous, his above-average production in penalty minutes and hits could allow him to carve out some value in specialty leagues.

Garbutt (illness) was on the ice for line rushes during morning skate and looks set to play Thursday against the Blackhawks, Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News reports.
Garbutt skipped Tuesday's practice due to the illness, but it wasn't debilitating enough to keep him out of commission for opening night. He'll play on the third line, joining Cody Eakin and Antoine Roussel.

Garbutt is out of practice due to illness, according to Mark Stepneski of NHL.com.
Garbutt's absence doesn't do a lot to shake up the lineup and there's no timetable for his return. It could be by opening night.

Ryan Garbutt has been fined $1,474.36 for his spear to Anaheim's Corey Perry.
That is the maximum he could fined under the CBA. Garbutt was given a major penalty for spearing and game misconduct in Game 5 on Friday night for the incident. He will be eligible to play in Game 6.

The Stars' Ryan Garbutt is unlikely to be suspended for spearing Corey Perry in the groin during Friday night's 6-2 loss to the Ducks.
The NHL has not indicated if it will review the infraction that saw Garbutt receive a five-minute major and a game misconduct. However, even if it does, the league has not made a habit of suspending players for spearing in the post season. Milan Lucic was fined for a playoff spear this season against Detroit but was not suspended.

Ryan Garbutt was whistled for diving three times in March.
That's not a reputation that he wants to build for himself moving forward. "You just have to adapt as the season goes on," Garbutt said. "They don't call as many penalties at this time of the year, so you work on that, you skate hard, and you don't embellish. I think it's something I'll learn as I play more games in this league." He is having a career year in 2013-14 with 15 goals and 28 points in 67 games. He also has 90 penalty minutes and 128 hits.
