Fabbri (knee) is automatically exempt from the expansion draft due to a lack of professional experience, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
EDGE Analysis
Professional players with no more than two years of experience are exempt, and Fabbri meets that requirement. The tremendous passing winger underwent knee surgery Feb. 27 and has been in recovery mode ever since. He's collected 66 points (29 goals, 37 assists) albeit with a cumulative minus-18 rating in 123 regular-season contests.

Fabbri's recovery from ACL surgery is on schedule and should be healthy for the start of training camp, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The uber-talented youngster suffered the injury on Feb. 4 and was forced to miss the final 30 games of the regular season and the playoffs. Just 21 years old, Fabbri was showing progress in his play through 51 contests, improving his scoring rate from 0.51 points per game to 0.57 points per game while also generating more scoring chances. Despite the severity of the injury, Fabbri's tender age and the fact that he hasn't suffered any setbacks in his rehabilitation should mean that he hits the ground running in September.

Fabbri (knee) skated by himself Monday, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Fabbri would seem to be a long-shot to get back into action after undergoing surgery to repair a torn ACL back in February. The center remains on injured reserve and would need to start practicing -- including taking contact -- in order to suit up for a playoffs game. The team should provide more information in the event the 21-year-old makes a surprise return to the lineup, but at this point, fantasy owners should probably be looking to the 2017-18 campaign.

Fabbri (knee) remains sidelined for Game 4 on Wednesday against Minnesota, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Fabbri last played Feb. 4, missing the Blues' previous 33 outings. Prior to getting hurt, the winger was bogged down in a scoring slump as he has tallied a lone helper in eight appearances. If the 21-year-old can get back onto the ice, he figures to replace Magnus Paajarvi or Ryan Reaves in the game-day lineup.

Fabbri had an assist, three shots on goal and two hits in Saturday's 4-0 win over San Jose.
EDGE Analysis
The point broke a three-game drought for Fabbri, who has been one of St. Louis' more consistent scorers over the past six weeks. As part of line-shuffling, he's been moved down the third line, which could dampen his even-strength production, but he remains a staple on the team's top power-play unit.

Fabbri collected two assists with a minor penalty and a plus-2 rating during Monday's win over Chicago.
EDGE Analysis
Fabbri hasn't been a staple on the opposite flank of Vladimir Tarasenko this season, but the sophomore assisted on both of Tarasenko's third-period goals against Chicago, and the duo entered Monday's game with an impressive 3.67 goals per 60 minutes at five-on-five. Additionally, Fabbri has caught fire since the calendar flipped to December with six goals and nine assists over 15 games. It's possible Fabbri is still underappreciated in many fantasy circles, and his salary doesn't match his recent uptick in production in daily contests, either.
