Scuderi will join the Junior Islanders as the Player Development Coach.
EDGE Analysis
Considering Scuderi didn't play anywhere last season, it's not surprising to see him transitioning into an off-ice role. The two-time Stanley Cup Champion logged 783 regular-season contests in which he tallied eight goals, 102 assists and 198 PIM -- adding another 14 points in 122 playoff outings.

Scuderi was returned to AHL Ontario on Tuesday, effectively helping the Kings maximize the benefits of designating another player to long-term injured reserve, Jon Rosen of LA Kings Insider reports.
EDGE Analysis
Rosen expectsthat either starting goalie Jonathan Quick (groin) or veteran forward Marian Gaborik (foot) is headed for LTIR. This will provide the club with extra cap relief against the upper limit in conjunction with Scuderi's move to the minors. The move makes a lot of sense given that veteran blueliner hasn't even draw into a game this season.

Scuderi was recalled from AHL Ontario on Monday, Lisa Dillman of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Scuderi has yet to play in a game with the Kings or with the Reign this season. His recall is due to the injury to fellow blueliner Brayden McNabb (upper body), who was placed on IR on Sunday. It's unclear whether the Kings plan to dress the 37-year-old veteran, but even if they do, he's known as shut-down depth defender that's never put up more than 16 points in a full NHL season.

Scuderi was waived Monday for the purpose of reassignment, Seth Rorabaugh of DK on Pittsburgh Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Scuderi bounced around the league last season as he was traded twice before ending the season with the Kings. In total, the veteran logged 63 contests, while failing to record a goal and garnering just 10 helpers. The 37-year-old seems a long-shot to get picked up off the waiver wire, and if unclaimed will head to AHL Ontario.

Scuderi was a late scratch from Tuesday's matchup with the Flames, Lisa Dillman of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Scuderi's absence is being listed as a coaches decision, although it remains unclear exactly what the cause is. The defenseman has 10 assists over 61 games this season and isn't worth much of a look in terms of his fantasy value. We should see his status updated prior to Thursday's game against the Ducks.

Scuderi notches pair of helpers in 5-2 win over the Stars on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
In his 41st game of the season, Scuderi finally managed a multi-point outing. The 37-year-old has certainly been having a bit of a rough year so far, as he's now with his third team of the season. With four points in nine games, he's already matched the number of points he put up in 25 games in Pittsburgh earlier this season.

Scuderi logged nearly 20 minutes of ice time and added an assist in his first game since rejoining the Kings on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Scuderi hasn't been a fantasy factor since leaving Pittsburgh years ago and he figures to see most of his minutes with the Kings in a stay-at-home role in addition to killing penalties so don't jump the gun here and expect this type of production going forward.

Scuderi was traded to the Kings in exchange for Christian Ehrhoff on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Scuderi didn't play well during his brief stint with the Blackhawks, registering a minus-6 rating with zero points in 17 games with Chicago. The 37-year-old blueliner's cap hit is slightly smaller than Ehrhoff's, which is why the Kings were willing to move Ehrhoff in exchange for the aging defender. Scuderi will likely spend the rest of the 2015-16 campaign with AHL Ontario.

Scuderi cleared waivers and was assigned to AHL Rockford on Wednesday, Mark Lazerus of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Scuderi has struggled considerably since coming over from Pittsburgh in mid-December. With no points and a minus-6 to go along with a hefty cap hit, Scuderi easily cleared waivers and will head down to AHL Rockford. He hasn't played in the AHL since the 2005-06 season when he was with the Penguins.

Scuderi was placed on waivers Tuesday, TSN's Bob McKenzie reports.
EDGE Analysis
Scuderi has drawn into the lineup on 17 occasions since he was acquired by the Blackhawks on Dec. 15, logging zero points and a minus-6 rating over that span. Chicago likely waived the 37-year-old blueliner in order to free up some cap space ahead of the NHL's Feb. 29 trade deadline, as they may be interested in making a move that will bolster the team's depth at forward. The former fifth-round pick will likely pass through waivers unclaimed, at which point he will almost certainly be assigned to AHL Rockford.
