Rob Klinkhammer returned to action on Friday April 26.

Rob Klinkhammer has a concussion and won't play Wednesday. He logged nearly 13 minutes of ice time Monday night against Detroit and has 10 points, with 61 hits, in 20 games with the Coyotes this season.

Rob Klinkhammer registered an assist in Phoenix's 3-1 win Wednesday. Klinkhammer has four goals and nine points in 15 games this season. The 26-year-old might prove to be a diamond in the rough and is worth keeping an eye on in the early portion of the 2013-14 campaign.

Klinkhammer drew into the lineup when Matthew Lombardi was unable to go and the entire day was an adventure for him. "It was just a whirlwind," Klinkhammer said. "I'm loving every minute of it, though. I couldn't ask for it to happen any better." Coach Dave Tippett praised Klinkhammer's effort, saying "He's a solid player, strong on the wall. He gives you a good forecheck down there. " Despite leading the Portland Pirates in scoring at the time of his call-up, don't expect him to provide enough offense to be fantasy-relevant this season.

Rob Klinkhammer will draw into the Coyotes' lineup Saturday night. With Matthew Lombardi sidelined with an upper-body injury, the 26-year-old will make his Coyotes debut. Klinkhammer has 44 points in 53 games in the AHL. It will be his 17th career NHL game.

Phoenix recalled Rob Klinkhammer from the AHL Friday. He has 16 career NHL games under his belt, but he hasn't played yet for the Coyotes. He'll probably make his debut with the team Saturday night.

Phoenix has sent Rob Klinkhammer back to the AHL. He didn't see any time with the Coyotes during his brief recall.
