Rich Peverley played between Tyler Seguin and Brad Marchand on Tuesday night. He moved up from the third line after Patrice Bergeron was injured in the second period. Peverley has not had a memorable season with just four goals and 12 points in 34 games. If he can stay up with Seguin and Marchand for however long Bergeron is sidelined then his fantasy value could get a boost.

Rich Peverley's benching on Thursday was a move that not only sent a message to him but also other struggling Bruins. Peverley has nine points and is a minus-nine in 28 games, but there are other Bruins in a rut, too. Milan Lucic has no goals in 14 games, Nathan Horton has one goal in 12 games and Brad Marchand has one in his last nine games. "The longer you go with that, the more it weighs on you," said coach Claude Julien. "That's a natural thing, Nathan and Looch were guys who were scoring quite a bit at the beginning; now they've been a little cool. ... I want to see them work through it. ... "I thought they worked a little harder (against the Senators). Now they've got to carry that into the next game. If they don't, they go back to square one."

Rich Peverley was a healthy scratch Thursday for the first time as a member of the Boston Bruins. Peverley was replaced by minor-league call-up Ryan Spooner, who was initially recalled to sub for the injured David Krejci. "I really felt that [Spooner] played well enough that he deserved another look," coach Claude Julien said. "I think it's obvious to everybody that Rich is struggling a little bit. Sometimes you've got to make those kinds of decisions, hoping that maybe it gives him the jolt he needs to get himself going." Spooner spent much of the game playing on the fourth line and neither he nor Peverley is much of a fantasy option at this point.

Rich Peverley is being penciled in to center Boston's second line if David Krejci can't dress Tuesday night. That could place the versatile forward between Nathan Horton and Milan Lucic, with minor-league call-up Ryan Spooner playing on the third line with Jay Pandolfo and Jordan Caron.

Rich Peverley has notched just two goals and three assists in 13 games this season. The Bruins have been able to count on their third line for offense in the past, but this season has been a struggle for them. Chris Kelly has no goals and four assists on the year, while Chris Bourque hasn't cemented his spot with only one marker and three points over 12 appearances.

Rich Peverley scored the game-winning goal in overtime and added an assist to give JYP Jyvaskyla a 3-2 victory versus Ilves on Friday. He now has nine goals and 23 points in 28 games with his Finnish lockout club. According to Matias Strozyk of Eliteprospects.com, Peverley will play his final game with JYP on Saturday and return to North America to see what direction the work stoppage goes.

Rich Peverley registered an assist in Tappara's 5-1 victory over Jyvaskyla. Peverley has eight goals and 21 points in 26 SM-liiga games. He had 42 points in 57 games with the Boston Bruins in 2011-12.

Rich Peverley registered an assist in Jyvaskyla's 3-0 win over SaiPa. Peverley has nine goals and 19 points in 22 SM-liiga contests this season. Lars Eller got the other assist on the goal.

Rich Peverley and Lars Eller were involved in Jyvaskyla's only goal on Saturday, as they lost to KalPa 2-1. Peverley scored the tally while Eller was one of the two players credited with an assist. Peverley now has three goals in the last two nights, with 18 points (8G, 10A) in 20 SM-liga games. Eller also had two helpers on Friday, so they're both on nice streaks.

Rich Peverley scored two goals in Jyvaskyla's 4-2 victory over IFK Helsinki. That gives Peverley seven goals and 10 assists in 19 SM-liiga games this season. Lars Eller registered two assists in the winning effort.
