Rene Bourque has been a different player this season, after disappointing when he first joined the Canadiens mid season a year ago.
Bourque scored the game-winner Thursday. He has four goals and eight points on the season, and he's also got 24 penalty minutes, making him a fine player for fantasy purposes right now. "It was a nice feeling," Bourque said. "We had some chances earlier, but it was one of those games where it was hard to get any quality scoring opportunities. The guys played hard and it was good solid defensive effort."

Rene Bourque scored the overtime winner to lift the Canadiens to a 1-0 win over Florida on Thursday.
Bourque's fourth goal of the season came at 2:10 of the extra period and was assisted by Alex Galchenyuk. After a terrible stint with the Habs following a mid-season trade last year, Bourque is now looking more like his old self.

Rene Bourque was held off the scoresheet again as the Canadiens dropped a 3-0 decision to Dallas Tuesday night.
Since being acquired from the Flames, Bourque has scored only five points in 17 games. The minus-2 rating slapped on him tonight brings him to a minus-6 during his stint with the Habs.

Rene Bourque dropped the gloves with Washington's Matt Hendricks on his first shift Wednesday night.
The Capitals were bound to respond after Bourque's elbow gave Nicklas Backstrom a concussion on Jan. 3 and the Montreal winger knew he would have to answer for the hit. The contest marked Bourque's second in a Canadiens' uniform since being traded from Calgary and he is still searching for his first point.

Rene Bourque is prepared to be a target in Wednesday's game versus Washington.
It will mark the first time he has played the Capitals since he delivered an elbow to the head of Capitals' top center Nicklas Backstrom on Jan. 3, earning himself a five-game suspension while he was still a member of the Calgary Flames. Backstrom hasn't played since the hit. "Hopefully, there's nothing residual," said Canadiens coach Randy Cunneyworth. "He paid his price and we hope there isn't going to be anything residual and, if there is, then we have to be disciplined and let the refs take care of it. (Bourque) has to focus on what he does and that's play at both ends." Bourque will line up alongside Tomas Plekanec and Mike Blunden again, in his second game, since being acquired from Calgary.

Rene Bourque skated for 20:59 of ice time in his Montreal debut Sunday versus the New York Rangers.
He registered three shots, four hits and added a blocked shot, so he made an impact despite being held scoreless. Bourque did land a questionable hit on New York's Carl Hagelin though and that may not be good news for him since he's been suspended two times already this season.
