Andersson was demoted to AHL Stockton on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
The 21-year-old rookie played 10 games with the big club this season, failing to register a point. He averaged 15:26 of ice time per game, including 1:34 during the man advantage. Andersson will get extra ice time as AHL Stockton's season wraps up this week.

Andersson was recalled from AHL Stockton on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
After fellow blueliner T.J. Brodie made an early exit from Sunday's contest due to an upper-body injury, Andersson's addition to the Flames will provide their roster with additional defensive depth. Though he's only suited up for two NHL games in his career, Andersson has shown himself to be a solid two-way defenseman at the AHL level. In 53 contests with Stockton this season, Andersson has logged an impressive eight goals and 38 points while owning a plus-21 rating.

Andersson was sent down to AHL Stockton on Saturday,
EDGE Analysis
Andersson didn't get a chance to participate in Friday's 3-2 home loss to the Canadiens. Plus, the Flames are off until Thursday, so there was no need to keep him up.

Andersson was recalled from AHL Stockton on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Lauded as an offensive defenseman with a quick release, Andersson posted three goals and 13 assists to complement a shiny plus-14 rating in 22 AHL games preceding his call-up to the big stage. He'll be on hand as a spare forward with Travis Hamonic (lower body) already ruled out for the evening's home contest against the Canadiens.

Andersson was shipped off to AHL Stockton on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
With Travis Hamonic back from injury Monday, somebody had to get sent down to make room. That somebody turned out to be Andersson, who played in one game for the Flames while up.

Andersson was recalled from AHL Stockton on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
The Swedish blueliner was brought up to provide depth on the back end for the Flames, as they placed Travis Hamonic (undisclosed) on injured reserve in a corresponding move. A second-round pick in 2015, Andersson has good size and has shown an ability to produce on the offensive end, scoring 30 points in 64 AHL games, with eight of those points coming in 10 contests in 2017-18. With Hamonic set to be sidelined until at least Thursday, Andersson may get a chance to get in to the lineup in the coming week.

Andersson was reassigned to AHL Stockton on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
The 21-year-old only found the ice in one game on the year, so it's tough to say what that means for his future. His 22 points in 50 games with AHL Stockton is a promising sign for his future NHL performance.

Andersson was recalled on an emergency basis from AHL Stockton on Friday, Wes Gilbertson of Postmedia reports.
EDGE Analysis
The recall of Andersson seems to indicate that at least one of Dougie Hamilton (undisclosed) or Michael Stone (shoulder) will not suit up for Saturday's game in Winnipeg. Andersson has put up decent numbers in the minors this season, posting 22 points and a plus-14 rating in 50 games.

Andersson picked up a goal and two assists in OHL Barrie's 6-5 overtime win over Mississauga on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
With 60 points in 64 games, it was a second straight productive OHL season for Andersson. He finished the season with a plus-34 rating and he was Barrie's top defender all season long. The Flames are a lousy hockey team, but they do have some depth on defense. To his credit, Andersson looks like he should be able to play in the AHL next season despite the fact he won't turn 20 years of age until late October.

Andersson tallied three assists in OHL Barrie's 6-4 loss to Hamilton on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
The Flames surprised some people when they spent the 53rd overall pick this past summer on Andersson, but he has rewarded them with a fine season. The Swede now has 38 points in 39 games for Barrie and he is logging a ton of minutes for head coach Dale Hawerchuk. Andersson might not have been a sexy selection, but he has a real chance to be a productive NHL regular.
