Hughes (lower body) won't play Saturday against the Sharks, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hughes suffered a lower-body injury during Friday's 2-1 loss to the Ducks and will miss at least one game as a result. The 19-year-old rookie has had a fantastic start to the season, racking up 10 points through his first 13 games, so it won't be easy for fantasy owners or the Canucks to replace his production. Another update on the 5-foot-10 blueliner's status will undoubtedly surface ahead of Tuesday's matchup with St. Louis.

Hughes (lower body) will not return to Friday's game versus the Ducks, Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet 650 reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hughes went down after appearing to catch his skate in a rut on the ice. He limped to the locker room and was ruled out for the remainder of the game during the first intermission. With 10 points in 13 appearances, Hughes has become a viable fantasy defenseman as well as a power-play specialist for the Canucks -- it will be hard to replace his production if he misses time. However, Iain MacIntyre of Sportsnet.ca reports Hughes may be available for Saturday's contest in San Jose, so it's safe to consider the 20-year-old day-to-day at this time.

Hughes registered three assists on the man advantage in Wednesday's 5-3 win over the Kings.
EDGE Analysis
The defenseman supplied helpers to Brock Boeser and Bo Horvat in the first period, and then to Elias Pettersson in the third. Hughes' third multi-point effort this year gives him 10 points in 12 contests. That's enough for fantasy usage, but with only 17 shots on goal, three hits and two blocked shots, he's not doing much to help in non-scoring categories.

EDGE Analysis
Hughes was frequently on the ice as the Capitals clawed back from a four-goal deficit. It doesn't take away the fact that the 20-year-old blueliner has four helpers in his last three games. He's up to seven points in 10 games this season, with five of those points coming on the man advantage.

EDGE Analysis
The 19-year-old defenseman got his first taste of NHL action by playing in five games for the Canucks. He immediately gelled with his teammates, registering three assists, and seeing time on the power play. He'll head to the World Championship and get more experience under his belt.

Hughes tallied a pair of assists -- both on the power play -- in Thursday's 3-2 loss to Nashville.
EDGE Analysis
The high-profile prospect has yet to find the back of the net in his NHL career, but Hughes has tallied three helpers in his first four games at the pro level and has looked every bit as advertised so far. He's sure to be a mainstay on Vancouver's blue line next season.

Hughes (foot) picked up a helper and two shots while skating 15:36 in Thursday's 3-2 shootout win over the Canucks.
EDGE Analysis
The seventh overall pick from 2018 has arrived, and it took only 35 minutes for him to etch his name on the scoresheet for the first of presumably many times. Hughes could be a good budget DFS pick for the remainder of the season if he can maintain a place in the lineup.
