Pierre-Marc Bouchard is parting ways with the team that drafted him in 2002. Bouchard played in 565 games with the Minnesota Wild before signing with the New York Islanders this summer. "I'll miss Minnesota," Bouchard said. "I really will. Knowing that I'm not coming back to Minny for training camp, it is kind of weird, but at the same time, it's part of the business, and I'm really looking forward to a fresh start with the Islanders." Bouchard had eight goals and 20 points in 43 games last season.

Islanders general manager Garth Snow is happy with the forwards he added. The Isles signed Pierre-Marc Bouchard and Peter Regin, two players who have been slowed by injuries over their careers. "Both of those guys are highly skilled players who can produce offense; they've just been hit with the injury bug at times," Snow said. "We'll work at keeping them healthy and they should be solid contributors for our team."

The Minnesota Wild will not re-sign winger Pierre-Marc Bouchard and he will become an unrestricted free agent on July 5. Bouchard was highly regarded when drafted eighth overall in the 2002 draft but a series of concussion injuries have hurt his career. He showed some spark this past season but still ended up with only eight goals and 20 points in 43 games. Look for another NHL team to give him a shot as he is still only 29 years of age.

Pierre-Marc Bouchard was outstanding on Sunday as he scored a goal and added an assist. The normally mild mannered Bouchard was all over the ice, throwing out an occasional bodycheck and playing very well defensively. "That's the best hockey game that I've seen him play," coach Mike Yeo said. "For me, that was the best. He was a very, very good player tonight." It was Bouchard's first two points of the post-season and the winger is now a plus-three.

Pierre-Marc Bouchard has 10 points in his last nine games. After being given up on by most due to his past injuries, especially concussions, Bouchard has been terrific of late on a line with Matt Cullen and Devin Setoguchi. Bouchard has two goals and eight assists with a plus-six rating since March 14 and has fantasy relevance once again.

Pierre-Marc Bouchard, who has been scratched for three straight games, will dress Thursday with Jason Zucker sidelined. "I want to see him come in and not play the type of game where you're afraid of making a mistake, not playing the type of game where you play safe," coach Mike Yeo said. "I want to see him come in and play with confidence and make a point basically. He has the ability to do that. He has the ability to control the play and create. ... He has to find a way to be a factor." He will play alongside Matt Cullen and Devin Setoguchi versus Colorado. Bouchard has only two goals and five points in 20 games this campaign.

Pierre-Marc Bouchard has been a healthy scratch for the last two games. Bouchard may have a tough time getting back into the Wild lineup and it's possible that Minnesota is shopping him around with the trade deadline only 23 days away. He has only two goals and five points in 20 games so he should not be in your fantasy lineup.
