Pierre-Marc Bouchard will be a game-time decision on Wednesday night.
He suffered a broken nose and a cut on his lip after being hit from behind into the boards by Winnipeg's Zach Bogosian on Tuesday. There was a concussion concern as well, given his history, but it doesn't look like he has one from his point of view. "I had a pretty big shot on the nose, and with all the sinuses, my body doesn't feel 100 percent," said Bouchard. "I lost a lot of blood last night. But I don't have many big symptoms that tell me my head's not fine."

Pierre-Marc Bouchard was smashed face-first into the boards on Tuesday by Winnipeg's Zach Bogosian.
Bouchard was bleeding badly out of his nose as he left the game. However, the greater concern is Bouchard's head, given his lengthy history with concussions. Bogosian was handed a five-minute major and game misconduct. Wild coach Mike Yeo didn't have any new information regarding Bouchard's status after the game.

Pierre-Marc Bouchard, who finally seems to be over his concussion woes, is back playing hockey at an elite level.
Before being concussed two seasons ago, Bouchard was one of the game's best young players. This season he is again playing well and has been demonstrating his fantastic playmaking ability. If for some reason Bouchard is undervalued in your league, now may be the last time you can get him cheap. He is on the rise again.

Allan Walsh, Pierre-Marc Bouchard's agent, spoke out strongly against his client receiving a two-game suspension for high-sticking Matt Calvert in the face.
"There is no one who supports ridding the game of headshots, blindside hits and dangerous hits from behind more than Pierre-Marc," Walsh said after pointing out that Bouchard was the victim of a serious concussion in 2008-09. "What occurred on the play in question last night was none of the above. The notion that Pierre-Marc Bouchard intentionally swung his stick into the face of an opponent is patently absurd. He's just not that kind of player. What message is Brendan Shanahan sending with this unwarranted suspension? All perennial Lady Byng candidates should now be on notice that when an opponent high sticks himself in the mouth, he can expect a minimum suspension of 2 regular season NHL games. This result is a shameful farce for the League. All in all, these 20 minute disciplinary hearings are nothing more than kangaroo courts." On the flip side, Blue Jackets coach Scott Arniel called Bouchard's actions "intentional."

Pierrre-Marc Bouchard could be facing league disciplinary action for his high-stick to the face of Columbus' Matt Calvert Saturday night.
The Jackets claim Bouchard swung at Calvert baseball bat style and should be suspended. The Wild contend Bouchard's stick was lifted resulting in the high stick. Bouchard is not a dirty player and to our knowledge has not been disciplined by the NHL before. Stay tuned.

Pierre-Marc Bouchard looks fit and ready to go as he reported to Minnesota training camp on Friday.
