Philippe Dupuis has agreed to a one-year, two-way contract with the Pittsburgh Penguins. The deal will pay him $600,000 if he plays at the NHL level. Dupuis had no points in 30 appearances with the Maple Leafs last season, but he played well in the minors with 31 points in 42 contests. He is not related to current Penguins winger Pascal Dupuis.

Philippe Dupuis has passed through waivers and was sent to the minors by the Maple Leafs. That was no surprise as Dupuis had no points in 30 games and did not play well on the penalty killing unit.

The Leafs have confirmed that Pascal Dupuis will be sent to the minors if he clears waivers. "If he clears waivers, he'll be playing for the Marlies," Leafs coach Ron Wilson said. "We've got lots of bodies coming back from injuries and I want him to find his offensive touch again." Dupuis doesn't usually get many points, but he has none in 30 games this season.

Philippe Dupuis has been placed on waivers by the Toronto Maple Leafs. Dupuis has no points and a minus-two rating in 30 games this season. He will probably clear waivers and get assigned to the AHL.

Philippe Dupuis has been placed on injured reserve with an upper-body injury. He doesn't have a point in 30 games with the Maple Leafs this year and shouldn't be on anyone's fantasy roster.

Philippe Dupuis skated on a line with Phil Kessel and Joffrey Lupul Friday morning. Dupuis is projected to play either on Toronto's fourth line or with the Toronto Marlies. However, he's getting a brief opportunity to show what he can do in a larger role, thanks in large part to a number of Leafs centers being sidelined. Most of the people ahead of him in the depth charts are only dealing with day-to-day ailments, so Dupuis' stint with Kessel and Lupul is expected to be short lived.

Philippe Dupuis is projected to be in the mix for Toronto's fourth-line center position. "Hard on checking, winning faceoffs, doing the job killing penalties ... Phillipe and [Tyler] Bozak can do all those things, so we expect a battle zone there, and with whoever else is (competing for the third and fourth line jobs)," coach Ron Wilson said. Darryl Boyce and Mike Zigomanis are also competing for the fourth pivot job. Dupuis, Boyce and Zigomanis all have two-way contracts, so they have plenty to play for at training camp.

Philippe Dupuis has reportedly agreed to a one-year, two-way contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs that will pay him $650,000 at the NHL level. Dupuis had six goals, 11 assists and 40 penalty minutes in 74 games with the Colorado Avalanche last season. If he cracks the Leafs' lineup out of training camp then he could end up as the club's fourth-line center.
