Straka signed a one-year deal with HC Plzen of the Czech league on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Straka was acquired by the Devils in November, but never made it into their game-day lineup, instead spending the 2016-17 campaign in the minors. The 25-year-old's three NHL appearances came during the 2014-15 campaign while he played for the Flyers. In those outings, the winger did managed to tally a pair of assists and seemed like an up and coming player. A disappointing 2016-17 season with AHL Albany appears to have derailed Straka's career as he looks to reboot it overseas.

Straka was traded to the Devils on Saturday for a conditional seventh-round pick in either the 2017 or 2018 NHL Draft and he will report immediately to AHL Albany.
EDGE Analysis
Straka has played only three games at the highest level and those were all during the 2014-15 season. Perhaps a change of club will give the 2010 second-round draft pick the chance to break in with an NHL roster, but until that happens don't count on him for fantasy production.

Straka signed a one-year contract with the Flyers on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Straka appeared in 64 games with AHL Lehigh Valley last season, tallying 37 points (19 goals, 18 assists) over that span. The 2010 second-round pick will compete for a bottom-six role with the Flyers in September's training camp, but will likely once again spend the majority of the 2016-17 campaign in the minors.

Straka was sent to AHL Lehigh Valley on Sunday.
Straka made an impact with the club in his short stint, posting two assists in three games, but it wasn't enough to keep him on the big club. His assignment to the AHL likely signifies the impending return of either Michael Raffl or Scott Laughton for Thursday's contest with the Islanders.

Straka netted his first NHL point in his second career game Thursday, picking up the primary assist on Nick Schultz's game-winning goal against Winnipeg.
Nice to see Straka find his way onto the sheet, but with only 44 points in 99 AHL games, he hasn't shown a whole lot of scoring upside since turning pro.

The Flyers have recalled Straka from AHL Lehigh Valley, the team's official site reports.
Straka gives the Flyers added forward depth in advance of Tuesday's game against the Coyotes, with Michael Raffl evidently feeling under the weather.

The Flyers are excited to have 21-year-old Petr Straka join the organization.
A 2010 second-round pick of the Blue Jackets, Straka never ended up signing with the club after some injuries his first year after being selected and a down season in 2011-12, all played in the QMJHL. He bounced back in a big way last season with 41 goals and 41 assists with his new QMJHL team, Baie-Comeau. "We liked him from his draft year and so we had a bit of a resume on him to begin with," said Chris Pryor, Flyers director of scouting. "He's got some assets that are hard to find. He's got some real good speed, he can shoot the puck and his size is good. He's going to get a chance. He's got a nose for the net. He's got a lot of potential." Straka will probably need at least a year of AHL seasoning.

The Philadelphia Flyers have inked Petr Straka to an entry-level contract.
Straka's deal will begin with the 2013-14 campaign. He was originally drafted in 2010 by the Columbus Blue Jackets, but the club passed on him. However, Straka attracted plenty of attention after scoring 41 goals and 82 points in 55 QMJHL games this season.

Petr Straka scored a goal for Baie-Comeau in a 7-2 victory over Shawinigan Tuesday.
The Columbus draft pick has amassed 44 points in 28 games this season and ranks among the top scorers in the QMJHL, but teammate Carl Gelinas actually stole the show with a hat trick in the victory.

Petr Straka scored and assisted to help propel Baie-Comeau to a 4-0 win over Cape Breton on Saturday night.
Straka is performing to the level the Blue Jackets expected in 2010 when they drafted him in the second round. Instead, he greatly disappointed and they never ended up signing him. Now considered an NHL free agent, he's blowing up with 25 goals and 18 assists in only 27 games.
