Kaleta will play Tuesday against the Red Wings, Mike Harrington of the Buffalo News reports. Kaleta left in the first period of the Sabres' Saturday match up against the Avalanche with some kind of illness, and was unable to play Sunday against the Bruins. Luckily for the Sabres, however, Kaleta has tested negative for the mumps. Kaleta will likely resume his role at right wing on the team's fourth line upon his return.

Kaleta left the first period of Saturday's game, according to Associated Press. He did not return. He won't travel with the team to play Boston because he reportedly has some kind of illness. Bench him if you're using him.

Kaleta has been a healthy scratch the past three games but may draw in Wednesday and play center. The natural right winger has never played center but Cody McCormick is still undergoing concussion protocol and the Sabres will need a center between Marcus Foligno and Chris Stewart. Kaleta and McCormick are both agitators, but the difference is that Kaleta has never played center before. It'll be an interesting experiment but don't expect it to last.

Kaleta is back with the team after being snowbound for several days this week and unable to get out of his home, The Buffalo News reports. While that ordeal is over in what's been a year of one crazy thing after another for Kaleta, he will not travel with the team for Saturday's game in Washington and will instead stay back to work on skating and conditioning.

Kaleta is snowed in at his Buffalo-area residence and will be unable to join the Sabres for Tuesday's home tilt with the Sharks, Mike Harrington of the Buffalo News reports. Despite heavy snowstorms hitting upstate New York, Tuesday's game will carry on as scheduled, despite Kaleta and a few of the team's medical personnel not able to travel to the arena. Kaleta was set to serve as a healthy scratch had he been in attendance, so his absence won't affect coach Ted Nolan's lineup plans.

After making his season debut Thursday, Kaleta will sit out Saturday's game against the Leafs, The Buffalo News reports. Said coach Ted Nolan, "He's been out almost a year of hockey so we don't want to put him right into the fire and into games. You want to break him in, give him a little bit of time to adjust and the game the other night, Minnesota is not a slow team. So it was a little bit too quick too soon so we're just going to give it a little time." Katela chipped in where he normally does Thursday, with two penalty minutes and a hit, but if you use him for those blue collar categories you'll need to find another option Saturday.

Kaleta will make his season debut Thursday, the Olean Times Herald reports. Kaleta has not appeared in an NHL game since Oct. 10, 2013, but he will take the ice Thursday after overcoming a suspension, demotion, torn ACL, and several broken bones in his face. He should be plenty ready to play Thursday night.

Kaleta (face) has been added to the Sabres' active roster. Kaleta was nearly cleared to play in Tuesday's loss to the Blues, but coach Ted Nolan decided to keep him out for one more contest. It sounds like he's healthy and ready to go, but rustiness is a concern after the winger had nearly all of last season wiped out by ACL injury before taking a puck to the face in training camp. Still, Kaleta's high-energy game would provide a boost to the Sabres' fourth line, though his addition won't aid the team's sputtering offense.

Although he's been cleared to play, Kaleta (face) is not expected to be in the lineup Tuesday against the Blues, The Buffalo News reports. Kaleta has been jonesing to play for quite some time, and given how lethargic the Sabres have looked this season he's likely to mix it up and earn some penalty minutes when he does return. But the Sabres first need to work in Marcus Foligno (shoulder) Tuesday, so Kaleta's return looks like it will have to wait at least one more game.

Kaleta (face) has been cleared to play, Paul Hamilton of WGR Sports Radio 550 reports. Kaleta has been out with multiple facial fractures since September, but has finally gotten the green light from team doctors to return to action. His status for Tuesday's game against the Blues is still up in the air, but he'll almost certainly be back in the lineup by Thursday's matchup with the Wild.
