Perhaps this injury layoff will also allow him to clear his head.

Being on the fourth line, the winger rarely finds himself with more than 15:00 TOI in a game, yet he consistently clocks valuable power-play minutes. The 33-year-old usually finishes seasons with around 40 points, and despite his inability to find the twine lately, he can definitely achieve that mark again this year (25 points, 53 games). Now having one goal and five assists in the past 10 games, Parenteau is making himself a more consistent player that could be very valuable if his ice time increases.

Parenteau picked up an assist with a plus-1 in Friday's 3-1 loss against Montreal.

EDGE Analysis

Parenteau has assists in back-to-back games for the first since since Dec. 6-8. He is on pace for just 36 points, which is a far cry from the career-best 67 points he posted in 2010-11. However, he is on pace for set a new career high in goals, and he is still very useful to fantasy owners in deeper formats.

Parenteau had a power-play goal and an assist in Thursday's 4-0 win over the Flyers.

EDGE Analysis

Parenteau opened the scoring with the man advantage in the first, then dished out a helper on Adam Henrique's second-period tally. He has now scored three times in his past five games after going 14 contests without lighting the lamp.

The goal extended the veteran winger's point streak to a modest three games and improved his year-long numbers to six tallies and 11 points.
