Power said Saturday that he will need two months to recover from his lower-body injury, but he will not need surgery, Heather Engel of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Power missed the final three games of the season with the injury. He had career bests in goals, with seven, and assists, with 33, as the third-year defenseman ended up with 40 points in 79 outings. Power should be ready for the start of training camp in September.

Power's lower-body injury appears to be serious, according to head coach Lindy Ruff, and surgery hasn't been ruled out yet, Luke Fox of Sportsnet reports Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Power will miss the final two games of the Sabres' 2024-25 campaign, having racked up career highs in both goals (seven) and assists (33) in 79 games this year. Unless it's a long-term problem, Power should be ready to play next season and should be capable of once again reaching that 40-point threshold, which set him up well as a top-half fantasy target.

Power (lower body) will be evaluated when the team returns to Buffalo, but he's expected to be out "a while," according to head coach Lindy Ruff, Lance Lysowski of The Buffalo News reports Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
The Sabres only have two games remaining on their schedule, and considering Ruff's comment, Power's season is likely over. If that's the case, he'll conclude 2024-25 with seven goals and 40 points over 79 appearances. A more substantial update on Power's status should be available after he's evaluated in Buffalo.

Power (lower body) is doubtful for Sunday's clash against Tampa Bay, per Lance Lysowski of The Buffalo News.
EDGE Analysis
Power left Saturday's 3-2 shootout loss to Florida due to the injury. He recorded a shot in 13:27 of ice time before exiting the game. With Power poised to sit, Jacob Bryson will probably draw into Sunday's lineup.

Power (undisclosed) won't finish Saturday's game versus the Panthers.
EDGE Analysis
Power didn't come out for the third period, and the Sabres announced he would miss at least the remainder of Saturday's matchup. Still, it's unclear if the defenseman will return in the Sabres' last three contests of 2024-25, including Sunday's contest against the Lightning. If Power misses time, Jacob Bryson will draw back into the lineup.

Power logged a power-play assist, three shots on goal and a minus-2 rating in Saturday's 7-4 loss to the Flyers.
EDGE Analysis
Power has three helpers over six games since his three-point effort in Boston on March 17. The 22-year-old defenseman continues to chip in decent offense in a top-four role after shaking off a slump in early March. For the season, he's at a career-high 38 points with 131 shots on net, 103 blocked shots and a minus-13 rating through 72 appearances.

Power tallied a goal, registered two assists, had two shots on goal and blocked two shots in Monday's 3-2 overtime win against the Bruins.
EDGE Analysis
Monday was Power's best all-around performance this season, as he filled the stat sheet in almost all areas. His marker was the lone goal of the second period and would ultimately send the game to overtime. Both of Power's assists were on separate power plays, and the latter of his two helpers was a shot redirected by Alex Tuch for the game-winning goal. With his performance Monday, Power is up to seven goals, 28 assists, 122 shots on net and 100 blocks in 66 appearances this season. The 22-year-old blueliner set a new career high in goals Monday and tied his career high for points in a season with 35. Power ranks third on the Sabres in helpers and has a bright future in the NHL. In fantasy, Power is heating up and has good value in deeper leagues with the postseason approaching.

Power fired two shots on goal, blocked three shots and recorded one hit in Monday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Canadiens.
EDGE Analysis
Power remains one of the most valuable defensemen on the Sabres, regularly filling up the stat sheet even when he's not scoring. He's failed to log a point in three consecutive games, but it was preceded by a stretch of points in six of seven games, so there's nothing to worry about with Power. He has 31 points (six goals) through 59 appearances in 2024-25, putting him on pace to shatter his career best in points (35) in his young career. The 22-year-old remains a good fantasy option.

Power logged a power-play assist, three shots on goal and a minus-2 rating in Saturday's 6-4 loss to the Predators.
EDGE Analysis
Power has a helper in five of the last six contests, but this was his first point with the man advantage since Jan. 17 versus the Penguins. The defenseman is up to 29 points, 105 shots on net, 83 blocked shots and a minus-10 rating across 54 appearances. He's earned just two of his points on the power play, but he remains on track for a career year that could end up north of the 40-point mark.

Power registered the primary helper on Tage Thompson's game-opening goal in the first period. Power is starting to heating up -- he's logged an assist in four straight games. The 22-year-old is up to six goals and 28 points over 52 appearances while filling a top-four role in addition to a spot on the No. 2 power-play unit.
