Early on in 2018-19, Patrick was experiencing some great puck luck, and he's now paying for it with a terrible dry spell. Patrick has five goals and 11 points with a minus-5 rating in 31 games this season.

Patrick snapped his pointless streak Sunday, but he still only has one point in the last 11 games.

The 20-year-old is in a real dry spell. He did pick up an assist against Winnipeg on Sunday, but that hardly makes up for a 10-game pointless streak. He actually got a lot more pucks to the net in the second month of the season than the first, but he hasn't found twine since Nov. 10. The shot volume indicates Patrick could pull out of this slump at any moment, then again, his shooting percentage is just about where it was last season. Patrick apparently benefited from some good luck in October and now he's falling back to the mean.

In the first eight games, he had just two goals and no assists with a minus-7 rating. But the hot streak has brought his numbers up to a respectable level -- four goals and eight points with a minus-1 rating in 13 contests. He's been able to do it behind a 21.1 shooting percentage, which likely won't continue, but the good news is he's posted seven shots in the last three games. Patrick's stock is firmly trending upwards.

Patrick struggled to start the season, but has now scored four points in the past two games and seems to be back on track. He's a solid option in daily leagues at the moment, as he'll likely go at an affordable price at the moment. If he keeps up his play from the past two games over a longer term, fantasy owners will be big beneficiaries.

Patrick scored on his only shot while adding one blocked shot and a plus-2 rating in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Devils.
