Patrick (upper body) was on the ice for morning skate Saturday, but he was donning a no-contact shirt ahead of the evening's home contest against the Avalanche, Dave Isaac of the Courier Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
The highly touted rookie would need to be able to prove that he can withstand contact before obtaining clearance to rejoin the lineup, and he remains on injured reserve anyway. By sitting out Saturday, Patrick will have four extra days to rest up before the Flyers play host to the Blackhawks for the next game.

Patrick (upper body) will not go on the Flyers' upcoming road trip, presumably ruling him out for the next two games, Sam Carchidi of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Patrick is now slated to miss five games as a result of this nagging ailment, but there's hope that he'll be able to return to the lineup when the Flyers come home for a Saturday meeting with the Avalanche. With the rookie pivot still on the shelf, Jori Lehtera could see an expanded role, as he now occupies a spot on Philadelphia's second power-play unit.

Patrick was placed on injured reserve Monday, Sam Carchidi of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
As Patrick has already been sidelined for nearly a week, the move is simply a formality and he'll still be able to play Wednesday against Chicago if he's healthy. The ailment dates back to Patrick being hit hard into the boards by Chris Wagner on Oct. 24 in a 6-2 loss to Anaheim, and it's smart Philadelphia is being cautious with the youngster given his injury history.

Patrick (upper body) didn't take part in morning skate ahead of Monday's matchup with Arizona, and general manager Ron Hextall stated that the player is "day-to-day."
EDGE Analysis
Patrick has already missed the team's last two games, and Hextall's announcement effectively rules him out for Monday, as well. While Patrick's absence doesn't leave a huge hole in the Flyers lineup due to the fact that he's picked up just three points in nine games, he certainly has the ability to start scoring at a higher rate when he returns to health.

Patrick (upper body) will not be in Saturday's lineup versus the Maple Leafs, per GM Ron Hextall.
EDGE Analysis
The No. 2 pick from this year's draft is considered day-to-day with his ailment. Patrick has shown flashes of brilliance through nine games -- he's added one goal, two helpers and a plus-2 rating along the way -- but he battled through a myriad of ailments during the summer and can ill-afford to be synonymous with the injury bug.

Patrick (upper body) won't be in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Senators.
EDGE Analysis
This news comes as a bit of a surprise, as Patrick declared himself ready to rock for Thursday's tilt Wednesday, but he'll now have to set his sights on returning to action Saturday against the Maple Leafs. The 2017 first-round pick has notched one goal and two assists in nine games this season.

Patrick (upper body) has declared himself fit for Thursday's contest in Ottawa, Sam Carchidi of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
The second pick of the 2017 NHL Draft was forced to make an early exit from Tuesday's tilt against the Ducks after receiving a crushing check in to the boards, but after practicing Wednesday, Patrick feels ready to go for Thursday. Patrick has the talent to start scoring with frequency in any game, but for now fantasy owners may want to exhibit caution, as in the last two full games he played, Patrick saw less than 13 minutes of ice and managed a total of only three shots on goal.

Patrick (upper body) was on the ice for Wednesday's practice, Dave Isaac of the Courier Post, reports.
EDGE Analysis
The rookie took a hard hit into the boards during Tuesday's game against Anaheim and didn't finish the game. It's been an unspectacular but consistent start to the season for Patrick. He's settled into a supporting role and entered Tuesday's contest averaging 13:28 of ice time with 2:11 on the power play. While his offensive numbers are modest (a goal and two assists through nine games), it's important to remember Patrick was limited to just 33 games in the WHL last season and nursed an injury this summer. It might take some time for his offense to catch up to the rest of his game at this highest level. There's also still an outside chance he returns to junior before playing 10 games and burning a year on his entry-level contract.

Patrick (upper body) won't return to Tuesday's game against the Ducks after taking a hard hit into the boards, Dave Isaac of the Courier Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
It could be seen as a good sign that Patrick is in the press box to watch the remainder of the game, likely meaning he didn't suffer a concussion. Still, the Flyers need to be cautious with their No. 2 overall pick, so it'll be interesting to see if he plays Thursday against the Senators.

Patrick went to the locker room during Tuesday's game against the Ducks and will be evaluated for a concussion after being checked into the boards by Chris Wagner, Sam Carchidi of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Patrick has played well through the first eight games, logging one goal, two assists, 13 shots on goal and a plus-3 rating. However, he continues to play in a bottom-six role as he develops. If he's unable to return Tuesday, his next chance to play will be against the Senators on Thursday if he's healthy.
