Nick Tarnasky has signed on with the New York Rangers. He registered 22 points and 144 penalty minutes in 76 games last season with the AHL's Hamilton Bulldogs. Tarnasky hasn't played in the NHL since the 2009-10 campaign when he skated in 31 games with Florida.

Nick Tarnasky was placed on waivers by Montreal after Sunday's practice. If he clears then he'll down to the minors. The Canadiens also assigned goaltender Dustin Tokarski to the Hamilton Bulldogs on Sunday.

Nick Tarnasky has agreed to a one-year, two-way deal with Montreal. Tarnasky can earn up to $550k at the NHL level. He had 26 points and 138 penalty minutes in 74 AHL games in 2012-13.

Nick Tarnasky has signed a one-year deal with the Buffalo Sabres. The financial terms of the deal were not available. He had 11 points and 173 penalty minutes in 36 KHL games last season.
