Ritchie appears set to make his NHL debut Monday against the Hurricanes, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.

Ritchie took line rushes alongside Ryan Kesler and Chris Stewart, which would could put him in line to see a fair amount of ice time if he's indeed on the second line. The 2014 first-round pick tallied 12 points in 12 games with AHL San Diego this season, and now the 19-year-old is poised to look for his first point in the NHL on Monday.

Ritchie was recalled from Anaheim's AHL affiliate in San Diego on Saturday.

Ritchie has started his first professional campaign in impressive fashion this season, as he has picked up nine goals and three assists in his first 12 games in the AHL. Ritchie, who was one of the last Ducks cuts in the preseason, could be in the lineup as early as Monday night in Carolina. Given his obvious offensive acumen, Ritchie might be an interesting waiver pickup in the coming weeks, especially if he gets a shot somewhere in Anaheim's top-six.

Ritchie had two goals and three assists in Sault Ste. Marie's (OHL) 12-1 win over Windsor on Saturday night. Ritchie has registered 14 goals and 28 points in 22 games with the Greyhounds after coming over from Peterborough in trade earlier this season. He also won a gold medal with Team Canada at the World Juniors. The 10th overall pick in the 2014 Entry Draft will be given every opportunity to make the Ducks out of training camp next season.

Ritchie was assigned to his junior team (OHL Peterborough) Monday, Helene Elliott of the Los Angeles Times reports. Ritchie, the Ducks' first-round pick in this past June's draft, faced long odds of making the Opening Night roster as an 18-year-old. That being said, he remains a highly interesting prospect due to his scoring prowess and willingness to hit, and could make noise for a potential call-up if injuries test the Ducks' depth on the wing.
