Michalek (finger) participated in his first full practice with the Maple Leafs, Mark Masters of TSN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Finally nearing a return, the Maple Leafs should update the winger's status again when he's fit to play. While he did take a step in the right direction by practicing Friday, Michalek likely needs to get himself into game shape considering he's been out since early December. When healthy, the 31-year-old Czech should slot into a top-six role with his new club.

Michalek (finger) could move onto the Leafs' third line upon his return from injury, reports the Toronto Star. He said he "should be back in a few weeks."
EDGE Analysis
He was one of Ottawa's best two-way forwards and would add a scoring touch to a checking line in Toronto. Michalek had 35 goals in 2011-12, but has seen his pace slow considerably since then and he has just six snipes in 32 games this season.

Michalek (finger) remains on a week-to-week timetable, James Mirtle of The Globe and Mail reports.
EDGE Analysis
Michalek has yet to take the ice since being traded to the Maple Leafs, and it appears his return won't be coming any time soon. Given the lack of depth among the club's forwards, Michalek should easily slot into a top-six role when he's healthy. The team should continue to update the veteran's status as he begins nearing a return, but his timetable remains indefinite at this stage.

Michalek (finger) has been acquired by the Maple Leafs in a nine-player deal that includes defenseman Dion Phaneuf, among four others, traded to the Senators.
EDGE Analysis
Michalek (finger) is an experienced winger that is quick on his feet and has a nose for the net. Toronto really needed a scoring punch as a team depositing 2.29 goals per game, fourth-worst in the NHL, and Michalek fits the bill. Unfortunately, he's currnetly dealing with a fractured finger that has him out indefinitely. Phaneuf was the headliner of this huge trade, with the Senators also getting a blue line prospect in Cody Donaghey, plus forwards Matt Frattin, Casey Bailey and Ryan Rupert. Heading to Toronto with Michalek is Jared Cowen, Collin Greening, Tobias Lindberg and a second-round pick in the 2017 NHL Draft.

Michalek is out indefinitely with a fractured finger.
EDGE Analysis
Michalek already sustained a fractured finger earlier this season, and was forced to miss 16 games as a result.  The 31-year-old winger will likely be sidelined for a similar period with his latest broken finger.  Expect an update on the former first-round pick's status once he's able to return to the ice.

Michalek (finger) will return to the lineup Thursday against Florida.
EDGE Analysis
Thursday will mark the end of a 16-game absence for Michalek after he broke a finger Dec. 1. The 31-year old looks set to skate on Ottawa's second line, playing alongside Mike Hoffman and Mika Zibanejad. This set up could be a boon for Michalek, as he only produced eight points in 24 games prior to his injury.

Michalek (finger) is now on injured reserve, per NHL.com's official media site.
EDGE Analysis
Michalek is dealing with a fracture to his right index finger that reportedly will keep him out indefinitely. While he tends to the broken digit away from the ice, the hockey world could see more of Curtis Lazar and Colin Greening among the bottom-six group of forwards.

Michalek (finger) suffered a fractured right index finger and will be out indefinitely.
EDGE Analysis
The former first round pick hasn't developed into as big of a point scorer over the past few years as he's scored five goals and eight points in the first 24 games this season, but the 30-year-old's presence will be sorely missed. He will likely be replaced by Colin Greening.

Michalek suffered a hand injury Tuesday and will be out "for a while," TSN's Steve Lloyd reports.
EDGE Analysis
This is bad news for Michalek's owners, as it sounds like he will miss extended time with the hand injury he suffered Tuesday. It appears Colin Greening is set to get another opportunity while Michalek is out.

Michalek left Tuesday's game with an upper body injury and will not return, Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Michalek logged 9:22 of ice time before leaving early with the injury. The seriousness of the injury is unclear, and he can be considered day-to-day. His next chance to return to the ice will be on Thursday when the Senators host the defending champion Blackhawks.
