The 20-year-old winger is well on his way to posting a point-per-game campaign, which is a feat only Sidney Crosby, Alex Ovechkin, Evgeni Malkin, Steven Stamkos and Connor McDavid have achieved before their age-21 seasons dating back to the 2005-06 campaign. That's incredible company.

Rantanen's excellent year just keeps getting better. He has five points, including four assists, in his last two games and 16 points (five points, 11 assists) in his last 10. Rantanen shows great chemistry with Nathan MacKinnon and that duo should be a force down the stretch.

While there would be nothing to complain about if Rantanen maintained his current scoring pace through the end of 2017-18 and in seasons to come, he might have trouble topping his current rate of production.

Rantanen continues to be a force on the top line and has surely benefited from the recent return of Nathan MacKinnon (shoulder). The Finnish forward now has 56 points in 58 games and continues to be a force with the man advantage. His consistent scoring and top-line role makes him very dependable in almost all fantasy formats.

Rantanen was the only one to light the lamp for his team in a 6-1 loss to Winnipeg on Friday.

This was a forgettable night for the Avalanche, but Rantanen did break a month-long goal drought. He's scored a point in three of the Avs' past four games, and he should be in your lineup on a nightly basis.
