Boedker contributed a goal and an assist in Thursday's Game 5 loss to the Oilers.
EDGE Analysis
Boedker helped San Jose jump out to a 3-1 lead, only to see Edmonton score three unanswered goals to take the contest in overtime. The Danish forward was a difference-maker in this one after being scratched in Games 3 and 4 for performance reasons, but his 13:13 of ice time was just one second above Marcus Sorensen's team-low mark. Don't expect a long leash from coach Peter DeBoer with the season on the line in Game 6.

Boedker, who was a healthy scratch for Game 3, stayed on practice ice Monday longer than any other Sharks forward, Kevin Kurz of CSN Bay Area reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's been a rough ride for Boedker in his first year as a Shark, perhaps because he's been relegated to a bottom-six role after several successful campaigns dazzling with the Coyotes. He performed reasonably well in 18 games last season (four goals, eight assists) on an Avalanche team that generally lacked playmakers on the wing, so maybe his slide is a classic example of a talented player searching for an identity on a team otherwise chock-full of offensive weapons. The Sharks have yet to decide whether the Dane will suit up for Game 4 on Tuesday, but it likely depends on how much information he absorbed from the extended session Monday.

Boedker is not in the lineup for Game 3 against the Oilers on Sunday, David Pollak of the San Jose Mercury News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Nothing has been mentioned regarding any type of injury, so he's presumably a healthy scratch. Boedker will step aside to make way for Joe Thornton (knee) to return to the lineup after a five-game absence. He didn't do much in the first two games (no points, two shots, minus-1) of the series despite receiving a sizeable amount of power-play time (over nine minutes combined), but it's still a little surprising to see him take a seat given he played in 81 contests this season. Look for further updates prior to Game 4 on Tuesday regarding the Dane's status.

Boedker picked up a pair of secondary assists in Tuesday's 5-4 home win over the Rangers in overtime.
EDGE Analysis
Boedker's second apple -- his 15th on the season -- helped send the game to the extra frame before defenseman Brent Burns ended up winning it for Team Teal with a man-advantage strike. Boedker qualifies as a bust needing 15 points to match his output with the Coyotes last year, but arguably the most disappointing facet of his slide has been the lack of power-play ice time (1:32 average) and having just one lonely point in that special teams situation.

Boedker earned a helper Saturday against his former team, the Coyotes.
EDGE Analysis
With the apple, Boedker now has a very respectable 10 points in his last 14 games. Still, the Dane has only managed 18 points in his first season in San Jose, and he's largely been a bust for those that thought an improved supporting cast would help him potentially challenge his career high of 51 set in 2013-14.

Boedker scored three goals and skated to a plus-2 in a 5-3 win over the Oilers on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Believe it or not, Boedker's trio of tallies doubled his goal output to six on the season, as he's struggled immensely to find his way in his first campaign with the Sharks. However, with four goals in his last two games and six points over his last six, things could finally be looking up for the former Coyote, so you may want to keep tabs on him as a potential waiver-wire candidate in the second half of the season.

Boedker registered a power-play assist Friday night, helping the Sharks to a 4-2 road win over the Canadiens.
EDGE Analysis
Boedker still seems off-kilter in his first campaign dressed in teal. As a team, the Sharks own a division-high plus-11 goal differential, yet the winger has just six points and a minus-4 rating in 31 games. Boedker has seen his average ice time drop from roughly 18 minutes per contest between Arizona and Colorado last season, all the way down to 14:40 with San Jose. The Dane's shooting percentage has suffered as well, as he's at a career-low 6.1 rate. This could simply be a case of Boedker trying to do too much when he could be relying more on some of the team's big names like Patrick Marleau and Joe Thornton to help his own production.

Boedker added his second assist of the season in Wednesday's win against Los Angeles.
EDGE Analysis
After a 12-game point drought, Boedker has now recorded an assist in back-to-back games. The 26-year-old is only seeing an average of 14:36 of ice time, which limits his fantasy value (four points in 24 games) in most formats. Last season with Arizona and Colorado, the 26-year-old posted 51 points (17 goals, 34 assists) in 80 games.

Boedker has managed just two points in 22 games this season.
EDGE Analysis
Boedker's career as a Shark has been disastrous to date. He's currently mired in a 12-game point drought and has fired just 20 shots on goal after putting up 166 to go with 17 goals and 51 points last year in Arizona and Colorado. His ice time (14:41) is down nearly four full minutes from 2015-16, too, which is likely a product of his struggles as well as the Sharks' depth at forward. Nonetheless, those that keyed on the 26-year-old Dane as a potential breakout candidate this year have been let down in a big way and can probably cut -- or at the very least, bench -- Boedker until he shows some signs of life.

Coach Pete DeBoer decided to change his lines following a lackluster road trip, including bumping Boedker up to the top line alongside Joe Thornton and Joe Pavelski, The San Jose Mercury News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Boedker has gotten off to a slow start to the season, but coach DeBoer hopes moving the speedy winger up alongside the two veterans will jumpstart the line. If he manages to make a connection and sticks, it could change Boedker's outlook for the remainder of his season.
