Boedker registered a power-play assist Friday night, helping the Sharks to a 4-2 road win over the Canadiens.
EDGE Analysis
Boedker still seems off-kilter in his first campaign dressed in teal. As a team, the Sharks own a division-high plus-11 goal differential, yet the winger has just six points and a minus-4 rating in 31 games. Boedker has seen his average ice time drop from roughly 18 minutes per contest between Arizona and Colorado last season, all the way down to 14:40 with San Jose. The Dane's shooting percentage has suffered as well, as he's at a career-low 6.1 rate. This could simply be a case of Boedker trying to do too much when he could be relying more on some of the team's big names like Patrick Marleau and Joe Thornton to help his own production.
