Sergachev has gone eight games without a point.
EDGE Analysis
Sergachev has taken a step back offensively this season, but his overall game hasn't. His focus this season has been on his own-zone play and that part of his development has grown dramatically. Sergachev has high-end potential and with the right development, he could some day be a top-pairing stud. Great for long-term keepers, but not for single-year formats.

Sergachev is a healthy scratch for Saturday's game against the Sharks.
EDGE Analysis
Sergachev's a talented offensive player who still has a lot of learning to do in his own end, and Tampa Bay can't afford many defensive gaffes against a San Jose team that ranks third in the league with 3.57 goals per game. Danick Martel will sub in on the Tampa Bay blue line.

Sergachev (undisclosed) will play in Saturday's game against the Canadiens, Joe Smith of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Sergachev departed Thursday's game versus the Flyers due to the undisclosed issue, but it's apparently not a concern moving forward. The third-year blueliner has supplied 12 assists over 37 games during the 2018-19 season, but he has yet to break through with a goal despite 66 shots on net. It seems like just a matter of time for Sergachev, who recorded nine goals over 79 contests last season.

Sergachev exited Thursday's 6-5 win over the Flyers due to an undisclosed injury,
EDGE Analysis
Sergachev suffered the injury when he blocked a shot from Philadelphia's Scott Laughton with his knee. The severity of his injury has yet to be revealed, but another update on his status should surface prior to Saturday's clash with the Canadiens.

Sergachev practised on the third pairing Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
The bottom pairing has been a revolving door, but Sergachev has still managed to play in 36 games this season. While his production has been disappointing (12 assists), Sergachev's game continues to grow. The long-term investment remains strong, but short-term he needs to be on your bench.

Sergachev will be a healthy scratch Thursday against Calgary
EDGE Analysis
The young blueliner has been ineffective this season, having failed to score a goal in 35 games. Sergachev does have 12 assists but has still struggled to make an impact most nights. Don't expect him to sit for too many games, although if Erik Cernak can impress as his replacement, perhaps head coach Jon Cooper will sit Sergachev for an extended period.

Sergachev put up his eighth assist of the season Thursday in a 5-4 win over the Sabres.
EDGE Analysis
Sergachev remains goalless on the season and his eight points in 25 games are a long way off his remarkable 40-point rookie season. We're pretty sure he's much more than Tyler Myers, who has never been able to come close to the heights of his rookie stanza. Sergachev's all-round game and skating should allow him to adapt to the NHL's speed. But right now, he's struggling to simply stop sinking in quicksand. Sergachev just isn't delivering enough fantasy value to merit rostering him.

Sergachev registered a power-play assist in Friday's 3-2 road win over the Golden Knights.
EDGE Analysis
Sergachev sees the ice well, as evidenced by him collecting four helpers through the first nine games, but the Russian defenseman curiously isn't shooting the all that much. After putting 141 shots on goal through 79 games with the Bolts last year -- his first season in a full-time role -- Sergachev has just 12 shots in early-season action. He definitely isn't expected to carry Tampa's offense, but perhaps there will be more opportunities for the first-round draft pick (Montreal, 2016) since Victor Hedman is bogged down by an upper-body injury.

Sergachev is paired with Braydon Coburn on the Lightning's third pairing.
EDGE Analysis
The Bolts have a solid top four in Victor Hedman and Dan Girardi, and Ryan McDonagh and Anton Stralman. Sergachev has an incredible future ahead of him, but for now, the sophomore will grow his game in a protected way. That's fantastic for him, but may disappoint some fantasy owners. Sergachev and his massive point shot will still see some power-play time, but his overall output his season may not climb from his lofty rookie totals.

Sergachev scored three of his five playoff points this season on the power play.
EDGE Analysis
Exactly 40 per cent (16) of the rookie defender's 40 regular-season points came with the man advantage. Sergachev finished fourth on the Bolts in power-play production, behind only forwards Nikita Kucherov and Steven Stamkos, and defender Victor Hedman. He'll be hard-pressed to make a significant jump in production in just his second year, but he'll soon be a perennial 55-point player. For keeper leagues, he's fantasy gold, but he could be slightly overpriced in single-year drafts in September.
