Weber will likely play on Tuesday, reports The Buffalo News. Head coach Ted Nolan indicated Weber will play once trainers give him the green light. A stay-at-home defenseman who plays a hard, physical game, Weber has four assists in 24 games to go along with 39 PIM. He's throwing his body around a lot of 69 hits and 49 blocked shots, but unless your league counts these categories Weber has no fantasy value.

Weber picked up his first point of the season in Saturday's 6-2 win over the Maple Leafs, earning a secondary assist on Matt Moulson's second-period tally. As a stay-at-home defender on a Sabres team that leads the league in shots on goal allowed, Weber is more harmful than helpful to fantasy players, despite his sizable hit and block totals. He posted a minus-29 rating last season and could challenge that mark in 2014-15, as he's already sitting at minus-6 through 16 games.

Mike Weber recorded his first goal of the season in Sunday's loss to Philadelphia. He has six points in 64 games to go with an abysmal minus-32 rating, which places him in a tie for the worst among NHL defensemen. Weber was a pleasant surprise for the Sabres a year ago, but this season has been a complete disaster for him and for the team as a whole.

Mike Weber is listed as questionable for Saturday night's contest against the Islanders. He injured his foot/ankle in Thursday night's game against the Hurricanes and may not be able to suit up Saturday night.

Mike Weber has impressed Sabre coach Ted Nolan with his competitiveness. So much so that Nolan made him an assistant captain Friday in place of the injured Henrik Tallinder. "This guy, he competes all the time," Nolan said. That said, Weber has a horrible minus 20 plus/minus rating and has registered only two assists in 29 games. He does chip in the odd penalty minute here and there but despite Weber's rise in stature in Buffalo he is not worth rostering.

Mike Weber (thumb) has been activated off of the injured reserve list. This move was expected given that Weber has been penciled in to return Tuesday. He has missed 10 straight games with a broken thumb.

Mike Weber is ready to return from his broken thumb on Tuesday night. He's been sidelined since Oct. 25 because of a blocked shot and he's missed the team's last 10 games. Weber is expected to suit up against St. Louis, so look for the Sabres to make a roster move at some point this afternoon and activate him from injured reserve.

Mike Weber (thumb) is about a week away from returning. Weber declared himself fit to play earlier this week, but it looks like he was getting ahead of himself. He has no points and 21 penalty minutes in 11 games this season.

Mike Weber (broken thumb) has declared himself fit to play, but he won't suit up on Tuesday. He has been out of action since Oct. 25 with a broken thumb. Weber might return this weekend when the Sabres play a home-and-home set against Toronto. When he's ready to come off injured reserve, Buffalo will need to open a roster spot for him and Nikita Zadorov may be a candidate to return to the junior ranks.
