Smith was the first goalie off the ice at Tuesday's practice, making him the likely starter for Tuesday night's game in Dallas, Sean Shapiro of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Sunday's game aside, Smith has not been particularly great on the road this season, posting a 7-13-3 record to go with a .911 save percentage and 3.06 GAA. It'll be difficult to trust the 35-year-old down the stretch and especially against a Dallas team that averages 3.16 goals per game at home and has defeated Smith once already this season.

Smith turned aside 34 of 35 shots in a 2-1 victory over the Kings on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
It was an impressive outing for the veteran netminder, who managed the victory behind a Coyotes offense that mustered just 15 shots on Jonathan Quick. The win snapped a slump of five straight regulation losses and improved Smith's record to 19-25-8 on the season, which really isn't all that bad considering the Coyotes managed only 184 goals this year, fourth worst in the NHL. Also, his save percentage of .914 is right in line with his career mark of .913, while the 2.92 GAA -- as owners will attest -- leaves much to be desired.

Smith will be in net for Sunday's tilt in Los Angeles.
EDGE Analysis
The 35-year-old hasn't been sharp lately, notching a .900 save percentage and 3.29 GAA in his last four games, picking up a loss in each of those contest. Sunday he will face off against a Los Angeles squad that ranks 26th in the league with 2.40 goals per game, so he will get a bounce-back opportunity against a struggling offensive team.

Smith will be on the bench as the backup for Friday's matchup with Washington as he continues to recover from an illness.
EDGE Analysis
Smith was on the bench for Wednesday's contest as well, although that may have been a scheduled off night based on the Yotes' usual goaltending pattern. Once healthy, the netminder will likely resume his role as the No. 1, but with his recent run of form -- 0-5-1 in his last six with a 3.16 GAA -- you could certainly understand if coach Dave Tippett wanted to give Louis Domingue an extended look.

Smith surrendered four goals on 28 shots in a 4-1 loss to St. Louis on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
It was yet another loss for the veteran netminder, who has now dropped six starts in a row. The losing streak has brought his record down to 18-25-8, and while he hasn't been a reliable source of wins, Smith has started 52 games this year, making him serviceable in deeper leagues based on a .913 save percentage.

Smith with patrol the blue paint for Monday's matchup with St. Louis, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Smith's losing streak has now extended to five games in a row, during which he has logged a 3.00 GAA and .914 save percentage. It is hard to lay all the blame for the Yotes' struggles at the feet of the netminder considering he has faced 30-plus shots in each of those five defeats. The Blues are averaging a mere 28.1 shots per game -- fourth fewest in the league -- which means the veteran should face a slightly diminished workload Monday.

Smith allowed three goals on 32 shots in Saturday's 4-1 loss against the Capitals.
EDGE Analysis
Smith has allowed three or fewer goals in seven of his past nine appearances. Unfortunately, Arizona's offense has provided him with a grand total of three goals over the past four appearances. He is playing well and deserves a much better fate.

Smith will draw the road start versus the Capitals on Saturday evening.
EDGE Analysis
Smith hasn't won since shutting out the lowly Avalanche on March 13, spanning four games. There's inherently some level of trust in a veteran goalie like Smith, but the matchup against the Capitals is far from ideal. After all, Alex Ovechkin's club is averaging 3.34 goals per game at home, good for second in the entire league.

Smith saved 36 of 39 shots during Thursday's loss to Florida.
EDGE Analysis
It was a solid outing from Smith, but Arizona was overwhelmed by a three-goal second period from the Panthers. The veteran netminder has won just two of his past 11 starts with a disappointing .898 save percentage and 3.29 GAA, so at this point, he's nothing more than a speculative flier. The Coyotes don't project to win many games going forward, and they're still allowing the most high-danger scoring chances per 60 minutes (13.07) in the league. It's not a favorable fantasy scenario.

Smith will guard the goal in Thursday's road game against the Panthers.
EDGE Analysis
Smith hasn't been great of late, suffering three consecutive losses while posting an ugly 2.97 GAA over that span. To be fair, the 35-year-old netminder has also posted a solid .913 save percentage over his last three starts, so his struggles can largely be attributed to the lack of talent playing in front of him. He'll look to pick up his 19th win of the campaign in a favorable road matchup with a Panthers team that's 16-17-3 at home this season.
