Mike Smith was sensational yet again, backstopping the Phoenix Coyotes to their first-ever Western Conference finals appearance after their 2-1 win over the Nashville Predators on Monday night.
The third-seeded Coyotes won the series 4-1, and just like he was during the regular season, Smith was an integral part. Monday, he made 32 saves, while his teammates mustered up only 17 shots on goal. In 11 playoff games this year, Smith has given up 21 goals. WIth Jonathan Quick in net for the Kings and Smith for the Yotes, goal scoring could be hard to come by as the two teams battle for a Stanley Cup finals berth.

The Nashville Predators did not see very much of Phoenix goaltender Mike Smith this season.
Smith only played in one of the four games the two teams played against each other this season and his one performance was a shootout loss in March in which he gave up four goals on 35 shots. Smith will get the start tonight. He was the star of the first round as he stoned the Blackhawks, giving up 12 goals on 241 shots with a 1.81 GAA.
