Mike Lundin has decided to leave the NHL and sign with Barys of Russia's Kontinental Hockey League, according Sports.ru's Igor Eronko. Lundin was scheduled to be an unrestricted free agent this summer. Lundin had said he'd like to return to Ottawa, but it didn't sound like the feelings were mutual. Lundin dealt with multiple injuries this season, including a concussion, and ended up playing just 11 games for the Senators.

Mike Lundin is eligible for unrestricted free agency this summer. He said he would like to re-sign with Senators, but he understands that he probably won't be brought back. Lundin missed time with injuries in 2013 and he ended up skating in just 11 games with Ottawa. He had trouble establishing a foothold for himself when he was healthy.

Mike Lundin was activated from the IL on Thursday March 21.

Mike Lundin (concussion) is projected to come off injured reserve and into Ottawa's lineup Thursday if it is deemed that Marc Methot cannot play. Methot hasn't been ruled out for Thursday's contest yet. Lundin has missed the past eight games with a concussion.

Mike Lundin has a concussion as a result of the hit he received from Philadelphia's Harry Zolnierczyk, according to Senators coach Paul MacLean. That's unfortunately not surprising given that it looked like Zolnierczyk's elbow or arm connected with Lundin's head with enough force to snap his neck back. It's hard to put a timetable on a concussion, so we don't expect Ottawa to provide one.

This is just speculation at this point, but it looked like Zolnierczyk's elbow connected with Lundin's head with enough force for Lundin's neck to snap back. The Senators defenseman went down and was eventually helped to the dressing room.

Mike Lundin was a late scratch for the Senators Saturday night due to the flu. Even when he's back in the lineup, don't expect much help in the fantasy department as he's just a stay-at-home blueliner.
