He's scored in three straight games and owns a five-game point streak, during which he's accumulated eight points. Most importantly, Hoffman has his first 30-goal season, doing so in only 63 games this year. The only concern for the elite sniper is a minus-22 rating. He also extended his career high for power-play points, with 29 this season.

Hoffman scored the tying goal in the third period, and then set up defenseman Aaron Ekblad for the game-winning goal in overtime. Hoffman fired seven shots on goal and added two blocked shots in a strong performance. Hoffman has 27 each of goals and helpers this year, although his minus-19 rating may weigh down his value a bit.

The Panthers will entertain trade offers for Hoffman, Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun reports.

The Senators dealt Hoffman to the Sharks in June, only for Team Teal to reroute him to the Panthers in a deal that involved four draft picks. Hoffman has proven that he can be an effective offensive producer where he plays, but with 26 goals and 23 helpers through 58 games, the 29-year-old is actually performing at a career-best rate with Florida. Hoffman has one year remaining on a contract valued at $5.187 million annually before he'll be eligible to become an unrestricted free agent.

Hopefully this effort helps to wake up Hoffman, whose offense went quiet since min-January. Hoffman now has 47 points through 56 games.
