Mike Duco was called up from the minors on Friday January 18.

The Canucks sent forward Mike Duco back to Chicago of the AHL. Duco had two stints with the Canucks since the calendar flipped to 2012. In his latest tour of duty he played two games and recorded an assist at Calgary last Saturday. In five NHL games this season he is 0-2-2.

Mike Duco has been summoned from the minors by Vancouver. He will play on Thursday if Henrik Sedin or Dale Weise are unable to go against Minnesota. Duco has 16 points and 43 penalty minutes in 42 games with AHL Chicago in 2011-12.

He has eight goals and 13 points with the Chicago Wolves of the AHL this season and 35 penalty minutes in 33 games.

Duco had 31 points and 126 penalty minutes in 67 AHL games last season. They acquired the rights to Duco from the Florida Panthers on July 9th in exchange for Sergei Shirokov.
