Mike Connolly has been returned to the minors. Connolly has no points in two games with the Avalanche this season. He'll report to AHL Lake Erie.

Mike Connolly will play Thursday after spending Tuesday's game in the press box. Connolly is getting a chance to play in his second career contest because Matt Duchene is dealing with an ankle injury. He had a shot on goal and spent two minutes in the sin bin in his NHL debut on Sunday.
