Stone sustained an apparent shoulder injury, departing Thursday's win over the Canadiens with approximately five minutes left in the third period, the Calgary Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
A newcomer to the Flames, Stone potted a goal on his only shot to complement a helper and plus-3 rating before heading to the training room, so he still did plenty for his fantasy owners over 15:18 of ice time. It's too early to know if his ailment is more than a day-to-day issue, but that's the default label until the team has a chance to check him out further.

Stone finished with a goal, an assist and a plus-3 rating in Thursday's 5-0 win over the Canadiens.
EDGE Analysis
Stone scored his first goal as a member of the Flames in his eighth game with the team after managing just one in 45 games with the Coyotes. This was the stay-at-home defenseman's first multi-point effort since Dec. 1, so don't expect another one any time soon. He has certainly been helpful in his own end, though, with a plus-6 rating since coming over prior to the trade deadline.

Stone was dealt from the Coyotes to the Flames on Monday for a third-round pick and a conditional fifth-round pick in 2018, Bob McKenzie of TSN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Stone was expected to serve as a healthy scratch for the Coyotes on Monday to avoid injury, but will instead pack his things and head out of town. After a breakout season of sorts in 2015-16 (36 points in 75 games), the 26-year-old defenseman's offensive production has scaled back just a year later. Thorugh 45 games this season, Stone has notched just nine points, including just five on the power play. He'll look to revitalize his campaign following a change of scenery and joins a team that receives decent production along the blue line.

Stone found the back of the net for the first time this season in a 5-3 victory over the Lightning on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
After going pointless in 18 straight games, Stone has a power-play goal and an assist in the last two contests. Maybe this is a good sign of things to come, but Stone has been one of the biggest fantasy disappointments this season. After 36 points, including 14 on the man advantage in 2015-16, Stone has just eight points, four of which are on the power play.

Stone hasn't registered a point in any of his past 18 games dating back to Dec. 3.
EDGE Analysis
The 26-year-old defenseman was a solid fantasy asset last season with 36 points, 161 shots and 143 blocked shots. However, Stone's ice time has dropped well over two minutes this year, including a 1:01 drop with the man advantage. After notching 14 power-play points in 2015-16, his three this year have been a huge hit to his fantasy stock. Additionally, it's a lot more difficult to stomach his minus-11 rating alongside his limited offensive results.

Stone dished out a pair of power-play assists, took three shots and blocked seven in Thursday's 4-3 loss to the Kings.
EDGE Analysis
He helped out on Martin Hanzal's two first-period goals, but the Arizona offense mostly went silent thereafter. Nonetheless, this represents Stone's first time on the scoresheet in nine games since his return from an upper-body injury, so it comes as welcome news for fantasy owners. Both the three shots and the seven blocks count as season highs for the 26-year-old blueliner. He clearly has offensive ability, but we're still looking for him to fully realize it.

Stone (upper body) will rejoin the lineup Saturday night against the Bruins.
EDGE Analysis
Stone has missed the past six games with the upper-body ailment, and it appears that he'll be eased into the lineup by garnering duties on the third defensive pair with rookie Jakob Chychrun. Once he gets back into the swing of things, Stone should be able to make an impact in the fantasy realm. Before getting injured, he had three assists in four games.

Stone (upper body) isn't expected to play Thursday against the Jets, but is nearing a return to game action, Sarah McLellan of the Arizona Republic reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's more or less a foregone conclusion that Stone will miss a sixth consecutive game Thursday, but it's encouraging to hear he's reportedly close to returning to the Coyotes' lineup. His next chance to do so will come Saturday against the Bruins, so interested owners can check back for another update on his status ahead of that contest.

Stone (upper body) will not be in the lineup against Colorado on Tuesday, Sarah McLellan of the Arizona Republic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Stone was placed on injured reserve retroactively so he should be available to be activated as soon as he is healthy enough to return. The 26-year-old will miss his eighth game of the season Tuesday, which will certainly be concerning to owners. When healthy, the blueliner has tallied three assists in four contests, but the frequency in which he is out of the lineup limits his fantasy value.

Stone (upper body) has been placed on the Coyotes' injured reserve list according to NHL's official media site.
EDGE Analysis
In the narrative of Stone's injury-plagued season, this was the logical next step for the 26-year-old defenseman. It's hard to say when Stone will return to action since the seven day period retroactive to his last game played would have him currently active, but check back soon for updates on his status.
