Buffalo farmhand Michael Ryan scored a goal and added an assist in Assat Pori's 6-1 win over Ilves Tampere in Finish Elite League play Saturday. Ryan really isn't a fantasy factor but it is nice to see he is enjoying some success playing in Finland. Former Pittsburgh draft pick Stephen Dixon registered three assists in the victory.

Michael Ryan has signed a one-year contract with the Buffalo Sabres. He spent the 2010-11 season in the AHL with Springfield and Adirondack where he amassed 26 goals and 44 points in 58 contests. Ryan is familiar with the Sabres as he spent five seasons in the organization, from 2003-04 to 2007-08, but he will likely spend this coming year in the minors.
