Frolik was promoted from the taxi squad for Monday's game against the Oilers, Luc Gelinas of RDS reports.
EDGE Analysis
With some Montreal forwards injured or on the COVID-19 list, the 33-year-old is expected to make his season debut Monday. Frolik had four points in 19 games with the Sabres last year and should fill a bottom-line role while he's in the lineup.

Frolik was added to Montreal's taxi squad Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Frolik has yet to crack the Canadiens' lineup this season and isn't expected to have a regular NHL role this year. He picked up 14 points in 57 games split between the Flames and Sabres last campaign.

Frolik has been assigned to AHL Laval for conditioning purposes.
EDGE Analysis
Frolik has yet to play an NHL game this season, so he'll head to minors to get some ice time. The 32-year-old will play a couple of games. He'll return to the team's taxi squad Saturday.

Frolik skated at left wing on the fourth line during Friday's practice, Stu Cowan of the Montreal Gazette reports.
EDGE Analysis
Frolik took the spot of Paul Byron, who left Thursday's game after taking a Shea Weber slapshot off his foot. Byron's status for Saturday's game in Vancouver is uncertain, so Frolik could make his season debut. He's currently on Montreal's taxi squad.

Frolik cleared waivers and was assigned to Montreal's taxi squad, Steve Whyno of the Associated Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Canadiens waived both Frolik and Corey Perry on Monday, figuring teams would have rosters already set, minimizing the chances either forward would be claimed. Frolik and Perry join fellow forward Ryan Poehling, defenseman Cale Fleury, and goalie Charlie Lindgren on the taxi squad.

Frolik signed a one-year, $750,000 contract with the Canadiens on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Frolik drew into 57 games split between the Flames and Sabres last year, picking up 14 points over that span. He'll be a rotational bottom-six player with very little offensive upside in 2020-21, so he won't be a viable fantasy option.

With the Sabres being one of seven NHL teams that won't be part of the playoffs, Frolik has played his last game of 2019-20 and will soon become an unrestricted free agent, Lance Lysowski of The Buffalo News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Frolik was acquired by the team from the Flames at the trade deadline, and while the team's intent to boost the penalty kill made sense, he didn't really pan out in the sworded jersey. Lysowski feels he's one of the least likely UFAs to return to Buffalo based on his lousy production in 19 games with the team (just one empty-net goal and three assists). Frolik, 32 years of age, will be coming off a season where he produced just 14 points over 57 games between two teams, so his demand won't be all that high as he hits the open market. Perhaps the Sabres will be willing to keep Frolik if a really cheap offer does the trick.

Frolik will be a healthy scratch during Friday's matchup with Vegas, Mike Harrington of The Buffalo News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Frolik had collected two assists in his past three outings, but he went the prior 10 contests without reaching the scoresheet. He was brought in to provide secondary scoring for the Sabres, yet he's accumulated just four points through 18 games. He'll sit out while Dominik Kahun makes his Sabres debut.

Frolik (illness) is expected to return to action Saturday against Pittsburgh, John Vogl of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Frolik returned to practice Friday, which was the first sign he'd likely be available against the Penguins. The former Flame will slot into a bottom-six role Saturday.
