Veronneau signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Sharks on Thursday. The deal will start with the 2022-23 campaign.
EDGE Analysis
Veronneau has spent most of the 2021-22 campaign with Leksands IF of the SHL, racking up an impressive 34 goals and 60 points through 51 appearances. He'll likely join AHL San Jose for the remainder of the season.

Veronneau did not receive a qualifying offer from the Maple Leafs and will be a UFA on Friday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.
EDGE Analysis
Veronneau came up through the Senators' minor-league system, but he has only appeared in 16 games across parts of two seasons at the NHL level. He was swapped to Toronto in February and played in three games with AHL Toronto, failing to record a point. He had just 10 points in 33 outings with AHL Belleville before the trade -- Veronneau will likely only get interest as organizational forward depth.

The Senators traded Veronneau to the Maple Leafs for Aaron Luchuk and a 2021 conditional sixth-round pick.
EDGE Analysis
Veronneau has mainly played in the minors this year, recording 10 points through 33 contests, but he played four games for the Senators. It's unlikely the 24-year-old forward gets much, if any, tread at the top level for the rest of the season.

Veronneau was assigned to AHL Belleville on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Veronneau appeared in four games for the Senators after being called up Nov. 18, but he'll return to AHL Belleville after recording three shots on goal and two hits during his time in Ottawa. The 23-year-old has been productive in the AHL this season, and it wouldn't be surprising to see him return to the Senators as a fill-in if injuries occur.

Veronneau was promoted from AHL Belleville on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Veronneau has notched three goals and three helpers in 14 minor-league games this season, which no doubt put him on the short list of potential call-ups. The winger is far from a lock for a spot in the lineup against the Red Wings on Tuesday and would need to beat out Filip Chlapik or Bobby Ryan to avoid watching from the press box.

Veronneau was sent to AHL Belleville on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Given that Ottawa kept his minutes low last season, it's not a surprise that the Senators will have Veronneau get some experience at the AHL level before bringing him back up to the NHL. Ottawa's lack of expectations for this year mean he could find his way back up soon, but it's more likely that the Senators let him learn for as long as they can.

Veronneau had the secondary assist on a Jean-Gabriel Pageau goal in a 5-2 loss to Buffalo on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
The Senators are giving Veronneau a chance to play without overwhelming him, as they've settled on around 12 minutes of ice time a night. He'll likely be given every chance to win a job in training camp next season, but he'll need to show more before he becomes worthy of a dynasty spot.

Veronneau scored his first NHL goal in a 7-4 loss to the Canucks on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
The tally was the first of four in a row in the third period for the Senators, before the Canucks' Bo Horvat stopped the bleeding with a goal of his own. Veronneau has a goal and a helper in three games, as well as nine shots on goal. The Princeton product has slotted onto the Senators' first line and will likely remain there as he gets his first taste of hockey's highest level.

Veronneau agreed to terms on a two-year, entry-level contract with Ottawa on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Veronneau joins his hometown team following a four-year collegiate career with Princeton, in which he tallied 52 goals and 92 helpers in 130 games. The winger will link up with Ottawa right away and could make his NHL debut as early as Thursday's clash with St. Louis.
