Tkachuk (wrist) will miss another game Saturday, but he remains day-to-day, Pat Steinberg of 960 The FAN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tkachuk was injured in Wednesday's practice and couldn't give it a go for the next game against the Stars, Still, this ailment doesn't appear to be serious, which is especially fortunate since the rookie had been picking up the pace offensively with six points in seven games spilling into November. Look for newly recalled winger Garnet Hathaway to slot into a bottom-six role with Tkachuk aiming to round out his recovery.

Tkachuk (wrist) will miss Thursday's outing versus Dallas, Pat Steinberg of 960 The FAN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tkachuk received stitches in his wrist following practice Wednesday, but the team seems to be confident that this will not result in a long-term absence for the youngster. In 12 games this year, the rookie has snagged three goals and a trio of helpers, but has failed to score on the power play despite averaging 1:55 of ice time per night with the man advantage. Selected sixth overall in the 2016 NHL Draft, the winger figures to be a key component in Calgary's future and should offer top-end fantasy value when he returns to the lineup.

Tkachuk required stitches in his wrist after leaving Wednesday's practice early, Wes Gilbertson of Postmedia reports.
EDGE Analysis
Coach Glen Gulutzan did not seem overly concerned about Tkachuk's injury, so it seems likely the youngster will be available against the Stars on Thursday. After a slow start to the 2016-17 campaign saw him benched, one point in the first five outings, the winger has dialed up his game with two goals and three assists in his last seven appearances. Since the 18-year-old has already reached the 10-game threshold, which means the first year of his ELC will count, it seems unlikely the Flames will send him back to juniors this season, but it remains a possibility until he logs 40 NHL contests.

Tkachuk scored a pair of goals -- including the game-winner with 4:21 left in regulation -- and went plus-2 with two PIM in Thursday's victory over the Sharks.
EDGE Analysis
Since being made a healthy scratch for two games, Tkachuk has returned to the ice with a fire lit under him, rattling off five points in as many contests. He also saw his ice time climb to a season-high 16:10 in this one -- almost three minutes more than he'd played in any other game -- thanks to Kris Versteeg's early departure with an undisclosed injury. If Versteeg misses some time, Tkachuk will be able to shift up into the Flames' top six, which would be a great boon for him and his fantasy owners alike.

Tkachuk will be a healthy scratch Monday for the second straight game, Wes Gilbertson of Postmedia reports.
EDGE Analysis
This is less-than-ideal news for the talented rookie, who many expected to explode offensively this season. His potential is still there, so he's worth stashing, but he shouldn't be expected to produce in the near future.

Tkachuk is expected to be a healthy scratch for Saturday night's game against the Blues, TSN's Jermain Franklin reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tkachuk has gotten off to a slow start to the 2016-17 campaign -- one goal represents his lone point in five contests -- but we recommend practicing patience with the talented rookie. He has the pedigree as the son of Keith Tkachuk, who's been the subject of many a Hall of Fame conversation, and made scouts salivate as the result of his dropping 107 points in 57 games with OHL London last season, not to mention 40 more combined goals and assists in the playoffs.

Tkachuk scored the game-winning goal on the power play in Friday night's preseason win over the Canucks. As reported by the Calgary Herald, the top prospect left the game in the second period upon crashing awkwardly into the boards, but he was able to return and finished with 14:18 of ice time, including over six minutes on the man advantage
EDGE Analysis
It's clear that the sixth overall pick from this year's draft will break camp with the parent club. Tkachuk skated on a scoring line with Sam Bennett and Troy Brouwer, and only Bennett picked up more power-play ice time for the Flames in this exhibition contest. If you're shopping for a top rookie for fantasy purposes, consider nabbing Tkachuk as a viable alternative to Patrik Laine or Auston Matthews, as those two may go higher in drafts based on the order that they were selected in the actual 2016 NHL Entry Draft.
