Strome has shuffled between AHL Lehigh Valley and the taxi squad several times over the last month. He shouldn't be expected to see much time with the big club this season.

Strome was called up to the taxi squad Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Strome is unlikely to see any game action while with the big club, instead spending his stint as an emergency option on the taxi squad. Once the Flyers have a full roster, Strome figures to be shipped back to the minors.

Strome was moved up to AHL Lehigh Valley on Sunday, Sam Carchidi of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Strome lit up the OHL this season with 28 goals and 79 points in 68 games. The 20-year-old will join the AHL and likely spend next year there as well. A 2017 fourth-round selection, Strome is on his way to making an impact in the NHL in the next year or two.

Strome scored twice and added an assist in OHL Hamilton's 5-1 win over North Bay on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Checking in at a massive 6-foot-4, 210 pounds, Strome continues to be a productive power forward at the junior level. He has 37 points in 31 games for the Bulldogs and he has displayed great chemistry with top 2019 draft eligible prospect Arthur Kaliyev. Strome's offensive abilities are legitimate, but much like his older brother Dylan, he's a well below-average skater. It's an issue in a league that continues to focus on speed and quickness. If he can clean up his skating stride a bit, the Flyers might have something here.

Strome signed an entry-level contract with the Flyers on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Strome lit up the OHL this season with 68 points (37 goals, 31 assists) over 64 games with the Hamilton Bulldogs. Still just 19 years of age, the 6-foot-4, left-handed shot figures to continue his development in the minors for the time being. He could eventually work his way to the NHL down the line but that's likely a couple years off.

Strome scored and added a pair of assists in OHL Hamilton's 7-4 win over Erie on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
With six goals and 13 points in 16 games this season, Strome is producing at a similar clip to 2016-17, when he finished with 34 goals and 62 points in 66 contests. The youngest of the three Strome brothers has the size (6-foot-4, 210 pounds) and a sweet pair of mitts that all NHL teams covet, but he is a well-below-average skater and that is the main reason he fell to the Flyers in the fourth round this past June. Strome was a risk worth taking at that point in the draft, but he has a ways to go if he hopes to be an impact player at the highest level.
