Murray will draw the start against Carolina on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Murray continues to be the workhorse for Pittsburgh, starting 17 of the previous 18 games. During that run, he's 9-3-4 with a 2.35 GAA and .928 save percentage. His early-season struggles have mostly vanished as he's been significantly more consistent over the last couple of months. The Hurricanes are a formidable foe, but the 24-year-old did manage a 39-save shutout against them back in December.

Murray stopped 23 of 26 shots in Friday's 3-1 loss to the Predators.
EDGE Analysis
After going 3-0-2 in his last five starts, the 24-year-old turned in a solid effort but didn't get enough support to stay in the win column -- the Pens didn't solve Pekka Rinne until nearly the final minute of the game. Murray's allowed three goals or fewer in 12 of 14 starts in March, posting a 2.27 GAA and .931 save percentage on the month.

Murray is listed as a "Player to Watch" on Friday -- per Wes Crosby of NHL.com -- indicating he will make the home start against the Predators.
EDGE Analysis
Murray's departure from the ice first at morning skate furthers the notion that he will make his seventh consecutive start. The fourth-year netminder is getting locked in at the right time, racking up three straight wins and allowing two or fewer goals in each of his last five starts. Murray should have a decent chance to extend that success against a Nashville squad averaging just 2.36 goals per game in March.

Murray stopped 33 of 35 shots in Monday's 5-2 win over the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
The Blueshirts jumped out to a 2-0 lead before the first period was over, but Murray found his mojo after that and blanked New York for the rest of the game. The 24-year-old has won three straight outings and only has one regulation loss in his last eight starts, going 5-1-2 with a 2.36 GAA and .933 save percentage over that stretch.

Murray will defend the cage on the road versus the Rangers on Monday, Michelle Crechiolo of Pens Inside Scoop reports.
EDGE Analysis
Murray will be making his sixth consecutive appearance in the pipes and will likely continue to see the bulk of the starts until Pittsburgh locks up a playoff spot. The netminder went 2-1-2 with a .927 save percentage in his last five outings, though he is coming off back-to-back wins. If the Pens do clinch their playoff spot before the last game of the year, Casey DeSmith could see a start or two ahead of the postseason.

Murray allowed two goals on 30 shots in a 3-2 victory against the Stars on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
The 24-year-old and the Penguins have experienced problems closing out games lately, but that wasn't the case Saturday. The Stars held a 6-on-4 advantage in the final 1:20 of regulation but couldn't tally the game-tying goal. Despite the late-game issues, Murray has been spectacular as of late. He owns a .939 save percentage in the last 11 games. Since returning from early concussion problems this season, Murray is 22-7-4 with a .930 save percentage over 33 games. This stretch has more than made up for his poor October and November. Murray is 26-12-5 with a 2.74 GAA and .918 save percentage overall this season.

EDGE Analysis
Murray has picked up his play recently, allowing two or fewer goals in each of his last three starts. He'll make his third consecutive road start Saturday, facing off against a Stars club averaging just 2.38 goals per game (28th in NHL) during March.

Murray stopped 28 of 29 shots through overtime and stonewalled all three of Nashville's shootout attempts in Thursday's 2-1 victory.
EDGE Analysis
If it were up to Murray, he'd face Nashville every time out. He's 3-0-0 with three goals allowed against the Predators in the regular season and won a Stanley Cup at their expense in 2017. Ryan Ellis ruined Murray's shutout bid with 3:01 left in regulation, but Murray got the last laugh by denying Ellis in the shootout.

Murray will be in goal on the road against Nashville on Thursday, Jonathan Bombulie of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports.
EDGE Analysis
Murray is stuck in a three-game losing streak, though he did manage to earn his team a point in two of those outings. Without Evgeni Malkin (upper body) to help fuel the offense, the netminder will need to step up his game and avoid giving up bad goals. In his only two regular-season matchups with Nashville, the Thunder Bay native is 2-0-0 with a .969 save percentage.

Murray took the loss Tuesday despite making 37 saves in a 3-2 shootout loss to Carolina.
EDGE Analysis
It's the Pittsburgh netminder's third consecutive loss and drops Murray's record to 24-12-5 on the year. It's hard to pin any of the losses on Murray, as the Penguins have managed just four goals total in their past three games. Next up is a road date the Predators on Thursday.
