Murray will be in net Saturday when the Penguins take on the Sabres, Josh Getzoff of PensTV reports.
EDGE Analysis
Murray gets the nod against Buffalo and will be looking to turn in a solid performance as he prepares for the beginning of the regular season. Last year, he finished with a 29-14-4 record, a .919 save percentage and 2.69 GAA.

Murray will patrol the crease for Wednesday's preseason tilt versus Detroit.
EDGE Analysis
Murray logged the full 60 minutes in his previous preseason outing and will do so again Wednesday. In that appearance, the netminder stopped 27 of 28 shots for a stellar .964 save percentage. While the Thunder Bay native's backup situation remains unsettled, he will be the No. 1 option heading into the 2019-20 campaign, with the club hoping he can stay healthy enough to play upwards of 55-60 games.

Murray will start in Thursday's exhibition match against Columbus.
EDGE Analysis
Over the last month of the regular season, Murray went 8-4-3 with a 2.26 GAA and .931 save percentage. He and the Penguins will look to bounce back in 2019-20 after being swept by the Islanders last postseason.

Murray stopped just 11 of 15 shots in Tuesday's pre-tournament clash with Austria.
EDGE Analysis
Murray played two periods of action before the reigns were turned over to Carter Hart to close out the game. The 24-year-old Murray's underwhelming performance was on par with his disappointing playoff performance in which he posted a subpar 3.02 GAA and .906 save percentage in four games versus the Islanders. Still, the Thunder Bay native should be the go to netminder for Canada heading into the 2019 IIHF World Championship.

Murray will be joining Team Canada for the 2019 IIHF World Championship in Slovakia.
EDGE Analysis
While some will see this as an opportunity for Murray to work on his game in a competitive setting, others will see it as another chance for the oft-injured netminder to get hurt. Murray had an up and down season that once again saw him miss time due to injuries. The Thunder Bay native fell short of the 30-win mark by just one victory, while matching his career high four shutouts. Since taking over as the full-time No. 1 in Pittsburgh following the departure of Marc-Andre Fleury, the 24-year-old Murray has failed to impress the Penguins faithful and will no doubt face further scrutiny heading into the 2019-20 campaign.

Murray allowed two goals on 25 shots in a 3-1 loss to the Islanders in Game 4 on Tuesday. The Penguins lost their first-round matchup with the Islanders, 4-0.
EDGE Analysis
There's plenty of blame to go around when a team gets swept, but not much should head Murray's way. He was arguably the Penguins' best player in the series, and without him, the Penguins probably wouldn't have had a shot to win Games 1 and 4 late in regulation or overtime. Still, the numbers for Murray don't look particularly good. He posted just a .908 save percentage in the series and has lost eight of his last nine postseason starts dating back to last year.

Murray is slated to be between the pipes for Tuesday's Game 4 home tilt with the Islanders, Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
EDGE Analysis
While the focus on the Pens' problems in the series has been on the lack of offensive contributions and defensive lapses, Murray hasn't exactly been stellar, as he is sporting a .902 save percentage and 3.33 GAA. If the netminder can step up his game, it could be the spark the rest of the lineup needs to avoid a first-round sweep.

Murray stopped 32 of 35 shots in Sunday's 4-1 loss to the Islanders in Game 3 of their first-round series.
EDGE Analysis
New York's final goal was scored into an empty net. Murray hasn't been terrible in the series but he also hasn't been a difference-maker, posting a 3.33 GAA and .902 save percentage as the Pens have fallen into an 0-3 hole. The 24-year-old will need to up his game if the team is going to avoid being swept on home ice Tuesday.

Murray will guard the net in Sunday's Game 3 matchup against the visiting Islanders, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
In this series, Murray has given up seven goals while posting a 3.45 GAA and .896 save percentage. In the Canadian's defense, Pittsburgh hasn't been able to get much past New York's Robin Lehner and their stout defense. At the very least, home ice for the next two matchups should help Murray and the Pens.

Murray stopped 31 of 34 shots in Friday's 3-1 loss to the Islanders in Game 2 of their first-round series.
EDGE Analysis
It was a solid effort by the 24-year-old, but the Pens couldn't get anything going against Robin Lehner and the stout Isles' value line corps. The series now shifts to Pittsburgh on Sunday, but Murray may need to take matters into his own hands and deliver better than a merely solid performance if the club is going to climb out of its 2-0 hole.
