Murray will tend the twine at home against Montreal on Wednesday, Mark Masters of TSN.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
Murray will make his Leafs debut after having been traded to the team during the offseason. While Murray has two Stanley Cup championships to his name, he has struggled in recent years and figures to enter the season as the second choice option behind Ilya Samsonov. Still, if Murray can get off to a strong start to the campaign, he could force his way into a split share of the crease.

Murray and Ilya Samsonov will split netminding duties early in the 2022-23 season, reports the "a href="https://www.thestar.com/sports/leafs/2022/09/21/leafs-gm-kyle-dubas-is-betting-that-matt-murray-and-ilya-samsonov-are-the-answer-to-the-clubs-goaltending-problems.html">Toronto Star.
EDGE Analysis
"As to the workload for both goalies, both have shown they can carry the load, and we need to get them both up and running, and it will be difficult to do that if one is playing all the games and the other is sitting," general manager Kyle Dubas said Wednesday. Murray will need to get off to a strong start -- fans in the Big Smoke have been outraged by Jack Campbell's departure and the substitution of a two-time Cup winner coming off a 5-12-2 record and .906 save percentage. And two seasons of sub-.900 save percentages. Murray and Samsonov must be handcuffed in upcoming drafts -- Toronto is going to put up a lot of wins and score a lot of goals. Their tandem is worth the risk.

Ottawa traded Murray and two draft picks to Toronto in exchange for future considerations Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Ottawa will retain 25 percent of Murray's $6.25 million cap hit over the next two seasons. He went 5-12-2 with a 3.05 GAA and a .906 save percentage in 20 games with the Senators last year. The 28-year-old also spent some time with AHL Belleville, posting a .918 save percentage in two appearances. The Maple Leafs are still expected to explore goalies on the open market this offseason, but as things currently stand, Murray is likely the team's top goaltending option for the 2022-23 campaign.

Murray (concussion) will be available for the start of training camp in the fall, general manager Pierre Dorion told reporters Wednesday, per Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun.
EDGE Analysis
Murray missed the final 28 games of the season while recovering from his concussion but is expected to be good to go for 2022-23. In 20 appearances this year, the 28-year-old netminder went 5-12-2 with a 3.05 GAA and one shutout. His poor performance even led to a stint in the minors. As such, it's hard to determine where Murray fits into the lineup next season as he will likely be in a competition for the starting job with Anton Forsberg.

Murray is dealing with post-concussion syndrome and won't play for Team Canada at the upcoming IIHF World Championship, Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Although Murray's still in recovery mode, he expects to be back to 100 percent in time for next season's training camp. The 27-year-old netminder went 5-12-2 while posting a 3.05 GAA and a .906 save percentage through 20 appearances this season.

Murray (upper body) will miss the final three games of the campaign, TSN 1200 Ottawa reports.
EDGE Analysis
Murray will finish the campaign having gone 5-12-2 while posting a 3.05 GAA and a .906 save percentage through 20 appearances. The 27-year-old netminder struggled for long stretches this year and even spent some time in the AHL, so there's no guarantee he'll enter the 2022-23 campaign as Ottawa's No. 1 option in goal despite his $6.25 million annual salary.

Murray (upper body) could miss the remainder of the 2021-22 campaign, Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
With roughly six weeks remaining on the year and Murray not even back skating yet, it certainly doesn't seem like he will play again this year. If it does mark the end of his campaign, the 27-year-old netminder will end 2021-22 having played in just 20 games, his lowest since his rookie season back in 2015-16, in which he went 5-12-2 with a 3.05 GAA. In the meantime, Anton Forsberg and Filip Gustavsson figure to continue splitting the workload.

According to coach D.J. Smith, Murray (upper body) "isn't close" to returning, Ian Mendes of TSN 1200 Ottawa reports.
EDGE Analysis
Murray isn't skating and it appears as though he's likely facing a long-term absence. Anton Forsberg and Filip Gustavsson will operate as the Senators' top-two netminders until Murray, who's gone 5-12-2 while posting a 3.05 GAA and a .906 save percentage through 20 appearances, is cleared to return.

Murray (undisclosed) was placed on injured reserve Sunday, Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Murray may have been injured Saturday against Arizona but it's unclear what he's dealing with. The veteran goaltender will miss at least the next three games, including Sunday's tilt with Vegas. Anton Forsberg should see most of the action in Murray's absence.

Murray made 23 saves in Saturday's 8-5 loss to the Coyotes.
EDGE Analysis
It was a brutal performance from the Senators' netminder, as he allowed multiple goals in every period and dug a 4-0 hole before Ottawa had even gotten on the board. Murray has lost six straight starts, and after this effort his GAA has soared back up to 3.05, to go along with a .906 save percentage.
