Matthew Konan has been promoted by the Philadelphia Flyers. Konan has six points and 54 penalty minutes in 45 AHL games this season. This isn't his first stint with the Flyers, but he hasn't made his NHL debut yet.

Matthew Konan has been returned to the minors. He served as a healthy scratch in Tuesday's win over the Rangers after he was called up from AHL Adirondack.

Philadelphia Flyers recall Matthew Konan from AHL Adirondack. Konan was signed to an entry-level contract by the Flyers on April 3 and the undrafted defenseman finished his overage season with Medicine Hat of the WHL. Konan had nine goals and 54 points to go along with 73 penalty minutes this season. He'll add some solid depth to the Flyers' blue line but isn't worth consideration for now.
